A lot of people have been hating on this device but I think it looks really cool. I preordered a few weeks ago.

As many premium features as they put into it I'm surprised they didn't also use an oled instead of a ips screen. I guess it would of added too much to the price.
IPS is a much better screen for Gameboy/Gameboy Color
Oled could of been better as you can control the individual pixels better. Because of that pixel grid effect they are using there is space between those pixels and there probably is light bleed with oled you could darken those individual pixels that are not being used. Either way you can also get way better contrast with oled unlike ips.

The difficulties with the everdrives was one difficulties i've seen with this device. they did say that they plan on releasing updates eventually, but that may never be fixed. I pre-ordered the gamestop exclusive color for myself and eager looking forward to it!
I've seen some reviews saying that everdrive works, and then others saying no flashcards work, and then some others saying most of them work, so Idk

@@1423big the only issue I had at all was resetting on a select few games I tried. I’m sure that firmware comes around to resolve those issues.
I play PCVR on my Quest Pro & 4090, so i'm looking forward to balance the extreme gaming with this handheld.

@GameJunctionMedia it's wild that a 4090 is nowhere near powerful enough for VR modded cyberpunk 2077. Maybe a 6090 will get there!

The size is interesting, would you say its close to the dimensions of the Gameboy Light 5.3 in x 3.1 in x 1.1 in weight 5oz? When I was younger this size was just right but today my big hands they would cramp up, this is why the OG gameboy advance still feels great.
@@MrCoffeeMrRadar heavier than the Gameboy Light but similar dimensions. It’s a beautiful piece of tech for GB and GBC

Real3doPlayer and 4DO core on Retroarch work very well with 3do games. I played 3do roms without problems on my old 1.5 GB RAM tablet without things like OpenGL 3.0 ES or something like that. And even on Android TV, but with specific configurations (the emulator is optimized for touch screen, but not for TV, so i had to reconfig every button to make it compatible with my gamepad). Those are the best options i can get on my country (Argentina). The 3DO console is very rare on South America, and difficult to obtain today. So, emulation its my only way to play these oldie games
emulation is still a great option
