I remember this! I preordered the game and played this version day one. The UI threw me off for a bit, also the smithing stone naming felt nice, though the numbering makes things easier to some degree. I also seem to remember the consumable rune visuals changing slightly. I didn't make it very far, and seemingly nobody else did since the playstation trophies were all at 0% aside from margit and the roundtable hold one. Still a very interesting and personal memory from this game though.

Don't count if you use glitches.

I find this sort of incredible. I've spent ages and basically got nowhere (definite skill issue), so it's brutal to find out that someone can beat 165 bosses in under 5.5 hours. I've never tried one of the glitches and I'm amazed that From don't patch them?

Literally the first stage was legit easy then i find out that there is a second stage and that fricked me up😂

I think this build might be kinda like a generic version that works while they add the flavour content later on (i.e new u.i boss music in correct places etc etc)

Now I understand why so many NPC quests had to have cut content restored in patches months later, they were just doing whatever up until the day the game released

That move set on the lord sworn GS you can get on the Knight’s GS which is a dex based sword. It’s pretty cool!

As a Japanese learner the (talking about around 10 minutes into the vid) name makal instead of the newer makar is probably because fromsoft is japanese and when they created the name it was probably マカル(makaru) and the “ru” sound is often used to represent “L” sounds in other languages but here the translators decided makar sounded better, I agree

you should also try fallingstar beast, in the cave the limgrave chest sends you to in caelid. I loved how hard that boss was, apparently it was a bug to have his Mt. Gelmir appearance in a tiny cave with no room

Might be a minor thing, but I really liked the Morgott cane glow when he reveals his sword in the cutscene where you fight him in the capital before they patched it out. Dont entirely know why, it just made a lot of sense to me and looked really sick.

With all the changes that were made so fast, its no surprise people had trouble adjusting and getting good. I downloaded three days after release, and the diferences are numerous and obvious. 😂

U can do varre's quest in the 1st patch offline by doing the volcano manor invasions and the yura invasion and talking to him later.
