Everyone in my family and friends all have iphone i never understood the hype on these phones I love my samsung ultra. I personally prefer Android over IOS to each there own.

You seem to be ignoring the fact that Steve got sacked from Apple and yet the innovation continued (they rehired him later). Steve dying was not the reason Apple stopped innovating. Oh and Apple has only ever been the market leader in the USA. It has never been a market leader in any other country. Get your facts right.

I would say that most people don't really understand technology that well and in the case of companies like Apple, they're just paying for the brand. I used an iPhone 5s up until mid 2023 before eventually switching over to the iPhone 11 I inherited. True genius to put the on/off button on the opposite side from the volume controls.

I switched back to android the other day. iPhone's are so boring to me. The way ios executes tasks make no sense whatsoever compared to android. However, the fluidity of ios is smoother but functionality > anything.

So? Apple can’t really add anything that Android user wouldn’t call copying since they SIMPLY were thinking about adding it. Apple is not going to say that they made the biggest innovation, they’re just going to say that they added it 😐. The stuff people are angry about can be resolved in a simple software update too.

Iphone is just simple, comfortable and smooth. Also people see it not like the useful device but like the part of high status and the brand that Apple created - that's why people buy it instead of other phones which could provide the same functionality for the lower price. But time will pass and if Apple would do the same 'innovations" every year their brand will be lost as their buyers as well

This is not an iPhone problem, it's a smartphone problem. Android competitors haven't been much innovative in recent years as well and I should know: I'm still using a Galaxy S22 with no real reason to upgrade to Samsung's latest. The camera is excellent, the performance is great, the screen is marvelous, and there's nothing on current phones that make it feel obsolete in any way. Now all tech companies try to push AI into their products as the next big thing (and it probably is), but most of features I want from Galaxy AI are already on my S22, and ChatGPT is just an webapp away (nearly all AI models run on the cloud, so you don't need local processing power). Apple is still innovating, albeit you can argue that is innovating less and less. Apple Silicon started a revolution on the desktop and laptop markets. Microsoft released Windows 11 for ARM as Qualcomm unveiled their new and best Snapdragon processors for the PC, and Intel and AMD are desperately improving their chips' energy efficiency to compete with Mac's incredibly reduced energy consumption (and therefore incredible battery life). So yeah, until we see for sure what the next breakthrough is, our new phones will be last year's refresh for a while.

I updated to the 16 pro from the 13 pro. I’m loving it. Way way faster than the 13 and the call quality is so much better. These two things alone made it worth it to me.

In my opinion, this title is a HUGE exaggeration. There are worse phones, but basing it off off “there is basically no upgrades”isn’t reasonable. I think it is the 14 that’s the worse because it is the same phone as the 13 with no noticeable difference. Prove me wrong.

ok look at the iPhone 16 pro max and tell me just what can be done to improve it? its got a new bad ass AI that makes the phone easier and better. The AI lives on your phone so it isn’t sending data to apple. I want to look something up from a video i just say it aloud and just tap the search field in a browser and in the drop down menu is what i said aloud. I’m excited with the new technology.

S24 samsung just blows away these iphones. I have iphone 15 pro but it just sits in the desk drawer because Galaxy/android has gotten so much better these days.

Upgrading from an iPhone 8, 16 makes sense

I mean smart phones as a whole peaked around 2017. There's nothing to innovate anymore. Sure the camera gets better and the bezels get a bit slimmer but functionality wise there's nothing an iPhone 16 Pro can do that an iPhone X can't do. Even the iPhone 6s from is still somewhat useable in 2024, almost 10 years later

There is actually a phone company called Fairphone, where it's a very young company with few buyers, where its phone material are gathered ethically as possible, pay workers better wages and located in Europe as they comply a lots of regulations and taxes. Not only that, they also had a very good repairability, had a removable battery and a 10 years of software update supports. Guess what, it does cost way less than iphone.
