My 1948 Seeburg SL-2 78rpm Library Unit. It was sold locally. It needed cabinet refinishing and a new stylus for the b-side only. All the hard work was done prior to the sale - everything was rebuilt - amp, pinbank, timer, etc. Worked flawlessly. The new owner sent me a picture of the woodwork refinished - it is beautiful!

Coney Hatch - "Love Poison" LIVE! In A 1980s Toronto Bar!

In the early '80s I was in a band called Aceium, and we did the same touring circuit as many other bands, including Coney Hatch. I met Andy Curran and Dave Ketchum during that time, and I was going to buy Dave's Rogers kit that's in this video, but then Joanie Cossette and her friend Michelle told me Dave kicked the kit across the stage at The Chaudiere! Haven't seen Dave since he left the band...

Disneytime vor grownups,silly symphonies,mickeytime... Akon hagen😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤
That's Great Elio. I never got to see you and Pat in Sneak Attack. Post away I am looking forward to it.
I was the drummer 😊 thanks for posting this, it brought back a lot of fond memories
where are ya, ya olde bat! ?
Now that's what I call music - extremely chaotic -but music!
Those kids were watching Monster Vision with Joe Bob Briggs.
Jesus! Talk about production values! Fabulous!
Energia total❤️🔥
My great uncle had one of the old records of Spike’s an we used to get the biggest kick out of this song!!!
The first time I heard the names Spike Jones was on an episode of "Happy Days" back I the 70s.With the advent of RUclips,I looked Spike Jones up and boy was I glad I did. These guys were not only funny, but extremely talented musicians.
Red Ingle did some great work with Spike.
how many albums have reckless got and what happened to the girl singer jan melanson
Oh gosh! Ive had the record on vinyl for decades but this is the first time I have seen this.Amazing!😮😅
Demais!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! Jokes still told in my family to this day!!
I grew up in Boston. We never got to see him. They didn't play his show on any of the 3 networks available at that time. He was pissa! Those guys were marvelous.
I was there Dufferin and Steels Tony s Rock and Roll I was only 21 years old love the band
wow, not easy to pull that kind of thing off
This movie was released in March 1945, but Spike Jones' segment had to have been filmed before the end of 1944. George Rock is not part of the band in this scene; he joined Jones around October of that year.
I was born in 1950 and as a small boy remember going to the movies and watching Spike Jones and his madcap band of loonies. Why have they simply faded into oblivion?
Many of the songs he parodied faded into oblivion. It's funnier if you know the original. Then, too, most of us have seen acts along these lines for years so this seems old hat, like the person who said she tried to like Shakespeare's plays but they were nothing but quotes.
My late dad had this record, we loved listening to it
Love Spike.
The singer looks a little bit like Ernie Kovacs! I must say, Spike was an odd-looking dude.
Ernie Kovacs was also a groundbreaking entertainer. He utilized tv as a new medium, not just radio with pictures.
Spent two years taking guitar lessons from Nick. Classic hard driving rock for mid 80's!
I find it hard to believe that the original pickup would sound so bad in such an expensive machine. Consider filling your pickup with a bit of silicone grease to dampen resonances. I always inject a bit of grease into the p-51-3 pickups.
Everything would have been great if the people from The farmhouse just had peanut butter crunch and the zombies will just walked away
Wow
I have one in my pocket.
Nossa !!!!! que maravilha é lindo um aparelho deste uma obra de arte uma tecnologia sem igual.
Primitive and unmusical shit ..., a blame in music !!!
This is a great jukebox and records
Gorgeous piece of vintage electronic technology.
When polished up, those chrome strips down below really do a great trick: Above them (pointing down) is a hidden light with moving color-waves. It's subtle, but it creates a beautiful pattern of colors beaming off of the chrome.
Ayyye, you really are the Elvis Zombie xD
The war-weary audiences who first saw this film in 1945 must have been rolling in laughter. The strife-ridden audience seeing this video 77 years later are rolling in laughter once again. The classics NEVER go out of style.
After our parents died nobody seemed to want Spike's albums and videos so I took them because I grew up on his music and I wouldn't have partied with his music for the world 🤣
good one
Wow!
I STILL remember that noise of the car going over the hill!!
I happily grew up on this being played in the house.
the third trumpet solo was amazing! it gave a whole new feel to the song!
Love this whole album!
*ring* "You don't say!" "WHO WAS IT!?" "SAME GUY!"
When the phone rings again (2:50) on my record, he does the 'You don't say!' routine again and the band shout 'Who was it?' To which the reply was 'Same guy!' Love it. :-)
I remember, "same guy", too
It was the B side of Hawaiian War Chant, and I think that was Red Ingle of Red Ingle and the Jesters fame.
classic 🙂 did laurel and hardy do it as well?
I was waiting for that myself. I remember this from my childhood.
Brilliant that band was so talented and so funny. Frank Zappa cited them as one of his influences.
“She might be using vanishing cream!” XD
such talent and fun. thank you spike
I’ll argue with anybody,my childhood era was the best, even our commercials was golden
😆Laughing part about the kids screaming to zombies-0:14 🥜🧈😋Zombies said slowly peanut butter crunch-0:07
