Eovolt Afternoon folding E-bike thoughts and impressions. Any good?
I'll have to try that mash, it looks easy.
Thanks for the comment. Yeah it's really good. It wasn't the prettiest of meals but it tasted nice and that's the key. I'll try harder on presentation in future.
Great dog games. Can't beat a canvas tent either.
Yeah they have put a couple of tears in it and pulled out the guy lines in their exuberance.
Ah but they get forgiven
@BrokenBackMountains that they do. We're up there now camping and they are creating a muddy circle around the tent.
Well handy. As you know I have the trangia mess tins but there are cheaper versions. The steel ones are cheaper and no problem weightwise if car camping. The Trangia ones are nicely made though. Good to see another vid up and the dogs. Take care.
@@BrokenBackMountains yeah I will probably end up going for the steel ones.
One of your great videos.Well deserved and the others will be there on 10k.
Thanks for the support. It's really appreciated.
good job
@@Warren_Eagle737 thanks for the comment. I'm genuinely surprised by the positivity in the feedback on the video.
A wee game of tag.cant beat it.😁
@@Sudy-u5u thanks for the comment. Yeah they love it, but it's not great on the guy lines
Great video, well deserved.🎉
Thanks, I appreciate your comment.
Great to see them so happy
Thanks for the comment, it really makes me smile when I see them like this.
Wonderful setup the only thing personally I would change is I do not cook in aluminum pans. Blessings to you and yours coming at you from the hills of Southern Oregon
@@fosterkennel649 thank you very much for the comment, it's really appreciated. The set is a duossol set which is stainless steel on the inside but aluminium on the outside, for better heat dissipation. I too don't like to regularly use aluminium for cooking.
I'm of the opinion cooking in aluminum is fine provided you don't scrape the aluminum surface with steel utensils. Use wood to stir the pots it's fine. IMHO.
@@stephenmcvay5368 it's more the frequency that I would have been doing it that was of concern for me, but yeah scratching it would be worse that is why i use plastic
I want a quilt not full of down but synthetic fibers as I hate the thought of sleeping in dead animal products , I need it to go at least -5 celsius. I found out today some bags use what they call live bird feathers. This means the poor animal was plucked while it was alive then continued to live till it was fat enough to killed be eaten. I don’t want this on my conscious, and apparently many bags and quilts use these fathers. No cool no good. So man use your knowledge and support animal free products and recommend what I can buy. I am sure all reading this now will want an alternative regardless of price.
Thanks for the comment. I believe Rab are doing an artificial filling that is almost as good as down but I'm not sure they do a quilt.
I suggest you move the camera so all those old pots and pans aren't blocking our view of the dog playing. Looks like he's having a great time, from what I could see.
@@user-yx2ff3mv2q thanks, that's one of the best comments I've got. Made me chuckle.
Trangia user since 1983. I think you nailed it. Gas complements meths, Triangle complements 25.
@@GeekfromYorkshire thanks, I really appreciate the comment.
I think that is the most sensible Trangia set up I have seen, I will look to improve mine in a similar fashion.
@@gobowin6568 thanks for the comment I really appreciate it. I'm in the process of reviewing the kit with the idea of a few improvements.
Your dog looks just like ours 😍 Nifty units these days, been tempted by these for our van but knowing it fits on the trangia has just added some weight to my yearning! 👌🏼
@@Professionalmoochers I really appreciate the comment, thanks. The dogs get a lot of love on this channel.
@@DubberDabbles rightly so 😁
Thanks for the car-camping info. I wouldn't use anything but a Trangia alcohol stove.
@@jeffreyerwin3665 thanks for the comment it's much appreciated. I love trangia as well but must admit to using other stoves when appropriate.
I love Trangia but your dogs stole the show, loooove them. Thanks for the video.
@@carmenmartinez2882 yeah the dogs tend to do that. I'm always playing second fiddle to them.
Thank you for this video. It was a question I'd been trying to find the answer to.
Thanks for the comment. Glad it was useful to you.
That looks like a great setup!
Thanks for the comment. It works well for me.
Wow! Look at all that stuff you pulled out of that mesh bag! Pretty awesome kit! Thanks for sharing, from Alaska.
@@12knots thanks for the comment. I keep trying to improve it without it getting too big.
What kettle is that?
Thanks for the comment. It's a GSI kettle from Amazon.
Great set up for vehicles and canoe camping. Live trangias. Used them for 44 years wouldn’t change. Mines the 27 series plus triangle and billy. Use my triangle nearly everyday on day hikes to make a brew n a bacon butty. 👍
You're right about them being good. Also a little addictive. This is definitely as you describe and not for backpacking and sees regular use during the camping season.
Amazing
Yes it was
That's a nice set up kitchen kit, thanks for sharing
@@NatureInspiredSnipsnSnaps thanks for the comment. It's constantly evolving as good kit should.
I use bio ethanol with 10% water and pots still get sooted up what do you use as your kit looks clean
Thanks for the comment. I use pure bio ethanol of a good quality and wipe the pots on the grass or with a cloth after use. It's surprising how much soot you can remove with a quick wipe on damp grass.
I use denatured alcohol in the states. Soot isn’t a problem.
Thanks for sharing. They are very dear After the initial disappointment I thought of all the outdoor satisfaction given to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world that have Trangia gear, and felt secure that at least with my purchase I had kept the factory open for another week or so. Taking off a hot upper windshield? I would advise using your pot lifter. Take care.
Thanks for the comment. I really like that way of looking at it. Puts a whole new spin on it
I thing you have it down right.
Thanks, it works for me. I have added another plate to the kit now.
Thank you for testing the gel burner, so I don’t have to. 😅 I enjoy using my T28 Mini, T27 and T25, but this gel burner gets a hard pass from me. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Thanks I really appreciate the comment. Giving it a pass wouldn't be a bad idea.
I like it, for tail gate camping or in my case the galley box of my boat. May I trouble you for the exact Make and Model of the stainless Kettle please? Or even better, got a link? Thanks so much for the video.
Thanks for the comment. I'm pretty sure that somewhere in the comments is a link to the kettle. The comments are worth a read as there are some good recommendations that expand the kits usability.
I was gifted 1 of these & have added sockets to suit my motorcycles. Wonderful bit of kit. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks for the comment. You are right they are great and very well made.
Interesting multitool, especially the pliers. I have a Gerber and a Leatherman. I always preferred the Gerber for the bike but I use a Swiss army for backpacking and the knife I use the most is none of them but a little Gerber skeleton.
For backpacking I always carry a swiss army knife or an opinel knife, as a matter of fact I pretty much always have a swiss army knife in my pocket. I'll have a look at the skeleton, you never know it might be another one in the collection.
@@DubberDabblesThe skeleton came free with the Gerber multitool I have. It is a small single blade with a lock which means I can't really use it except at home. Just checked and it is the paraframe.
Shouldn’t the rack be used to lift the silicone insert away from the oven base?
Thanks for the comment. They are stand alone accessories and are supposed to be used separately. Your suggestion may be a better way of using them in combination though, thanks.
Very nice set up, I'll have to grab a plate or two, they look handy
@@tobygreenwood2544 thanks for the comment. There are loads of other good suggestions in the comments that will find it's easy into the set up.
An Omnia oven perhaps but that's it. Loved the plate adaptation. Hah, just seen your Omnia test vid but can't be bothered to delete my comment🙄lol
Really great set up. I like the versatility. No improvements really you have covered all the bases including it being able strip down to a light camp stove( the triangle) if you decide to go walking for a day or longer so it really does cover the bases. In the scenario of taking triangle, a windshield would be useful
@@michaelhancock1261 thanks for the comment. You're the first person to mention a breakout walking stove and what a brilliant that is. I have a windshield that will fit perfectly in it. Again thanks.
perfect.
@@Standswithabeer thanks, much appreciated.

@@Shekaila it is. I am thinking of testing the new belt drive model.
@@DubberDabbles if u test it good luck and hope its marvellous
I haven't got mine handy, but aren't the square drives 1/4" and 3/8" not 1/4" & 1/2"? I could be wrong, I often am.
No you are absolutely right. It was an impromptu video and I'll have to edit it to correct it.. Thanks for letting me know.
I think I've edited it. Thanks again for pointing it out.
Nice compact kit 👍
Thanks, as you can tell from its condition it is quite old and well used.
Way too bulky.
@@richardsmith9050 I agree it is large but it's not a backpacking set up. My lightweight set up is covered in another video. This is more for static camping. Thanks for the comment.
Yeah, I have the gel burner. I also find it difficult to get the lid off. At the moment it is even worse with my right hand being a bit poor. I think it is so it will rest in the burner stand. It is also fragile. I got one sent that got mangled in the post so actually have two. I converted the mangled one into an alcohol burner. Im not a fan of the gel either. I've also used sanitiser gel as had a lot a few years ago for obvious reasons. Totally agree on the boil times. If we were bothered we wouldnt be using trangias.😂
@@BrokenBackMountains good to know I'm not on my own. I did worry that I had just got a bad one in terms of the lid. The fragility off it never entered my head but I can see how it would be.
Think I'll give that a miss
Yeah really disappointing from a brand I like and respect.
I don't see them on the Amazon US website. Walmart sells a camping set that is very reasonably priced. The steel is rather thin, but it works well if you always have food in it before heating.
Thanks for the comment. I'm based in the UK so maybe they're not available in the US.
I've seen them before. Bombproof.
@@BrokenBackMountains thanks mate. Like I said they were a little more expensive but seem to be worth it.
Liking the pan set Mate 👍

What’s powering the cooker?
@@davemurphy2020 it's the S2000 solar generator from allpowers. Charges from solar panels or mains electricity. There is a short video about it on my channel.

Good setup. How about showing us the rest of your "camp kitchen"? What do you take? How do you pack it? Thanks!
@@jimmellon4298 thanks for the comment. I'll try to do a video of my complete camp kitchen when I get a minute. Most of it is there already in separate bits but putting it all together would be good.
Great set up, very similar to mine. Firebox stoves makes a round cutting board, the medium size that fits perfectly on the inside of the plate. Looks like you would have enough space to still store everything the way you are and get a cutting board in there. They’re nice heavyduty cutting boards, not some cheap flimsy one
@@the_orange_shepherd6938 thanks for the comment, I'll look into one of those.
