Same problem... I fixed it by repeatedly pressings the power button without the charger, was about to plug into the charger but it turned on. Happy days 😊

Battery dead after just one year? Absolutely ridiculous. I bought some Huawei bluetooth headphones for 20 dollars in 2017, treated them like crap, used them on the beach, at the pool and everything. Now the insulation plastic is all torn and the cable is exposed, BUT THEY STILL WORK!

well shit, here i am in 2021 and my beats x have just entered the afterlife... any other earphone/headphone is worth it for beats because i know after i'ved tried SO MANY but the x's i've officially given up on (even the new 2021 model)

Para quitar eso conectalos a tu PC y manten precionado el boton de encendido y volumen abajo un buen rato hasta que la PC aga un sonido parecido a cuando insertas una USB y luego se quedara el foco rojo en ese momento los desconectas y los pobes a cargar normal y asi se arreglan . + En mi caso, tuve que no empujar todo el connector hacia dentro del cargador de los audifonos

Tiene solución, yo intente con todos los métodos que pusieron. Al final no se cual fue el que resulto, pero al final intente con el cable de Beats conectado a una Powrbank (que no creo que sea necesaria) oprimir el botón de encendido y el de volumen abajo mientras lo conectaba. Lo desconecte, parpadeo rojo y blanco y quedo encendido por fin.

Try charging with a "super-charge" charger. Works for me.

FULL FIX FOR THIS HERE:step 1 - don't use any cable other than the one that the headphones came with, you are overcharging the headphones and its corrupting them.. plug the cable into the headphones using a PC USB portstep 2 - once connected to the PC, hold the power button as you pull the dre beats cable out of the headphones, it should flash on, KEEP HOLDING AND THEN HOLD THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME for about 10 seconds step 3 - the power button should bleep on and off and the screen to connect the headphones should appear on your phonestep 4 - just connect your phone again and NEVER use any other cable than the one that came in the box

Mine is doing the same exact thing. Apple was so kind to offer me a service fee of 89$ to repair. Bought them for 100$...

It is a design fault. For sure. After charging my BeatX with a charger which has 3A, the same issue happend to me. Same issue in my Seat Ibiza (2018j. It was not the first time. I found out, when I connect them to my notebook usb port, which has max. 0.5A, the Beats Updater recognizes them. After charging them to 100% everything worked fine. The strange thing is that I charged the BeatsX with the 3A charger over months without problems. Now, after 16 months of using, it seems not to work anymore... like there is a firmware issue. Very strange.

Uhhh ik this is about 2 years late 😂 buttt i was playing around with it. At first when i charged it, the light would change from red to white over and over and then stayed white. I held the power button until the light turned off. Let go, blinked again. Tried a few times and the light stayed red and i think that means its charging properly rn. So i think i fixed it. Update in a few hours to see if it actually worked

Year and a half later. same issue. None of the suggestions worked, cable in and out..updating firmware, etc. Piece of shite, do NOT recommend.
