I can understand that this book is not popular among the fans to put it mildly. But i am surprised that nobody mentioned that Elvis had them fired by his his dad while being conveniently out of town himself, with only two weeks pay. That's not how you treat your friends. As soon as I finished reading that book I thought this, that it killed him. There is some bad stuff in there, not just gossip and presenting him as a unselfaware baby who threw tantrums, but insulting his talent as well. I reached out to my Mother for the first time in 30 years on FB years after reading it and it's one of the side things I mentioned, it stuck with me and she was his biggest fan.
