Thank you for your feedback. This is a video by DJI Osmo Pocket 3 camera. Had to edit this video due to copyrighted songs surround I can’t hear. Had to mute audio in 5 parts on this video. The uploaded part videos were extracted from my iPhone from few months ago.

Hi Warren I remember watching the dam under construction when I was a little kid, it took what seemed like years to build those dam wall out of granite, there was a continual stream of tip trucks from the Boral quarry (Not Boral at the time but Albion Reid) at Lysterfield 7 days a week.
Hi there, Glad to your feedback and good memories what the dam looked like when you were young. It was my first time to fly closer to the reservoir. I know there is quarry in Lysterfield, like in Lilydale.
Good job! I am surprised that the drone managed to cope with the very high radio signal levels belting out of those antennas.
Thank you for your feedback. My drone is DJI Mini 2. It’s small one quite good for flying around and can go very high. Due to drone rule policy we can fly up to 120 m / 400 ft. The radio signal sometimes get weak when the drone fly far nearly 2km.

Thank you for sharing this great video of Lilydale Lake. I have flown my DJI Mini 3 Pro and Mini 2 there. Hopefully, someday I will be able to fly my Autel Nano Plus+ there as well. I have liked 👍 and subscribed.

25 years ago I grew up at 81 Old Gippsland Road, which is just a hundred metres South of this location, on the junction with Mangans Road, would be great to see a drone shot of what it looks like now (not sure if you take requests :)).
Good to know about your memories where you grew up. Plan to fly somewhere near Old Gippsland Road, I am happy to take your request. Trying to find a better location safe for the drone take off and landing safely. :). Of course, I enjoy to drive on that road.

This was my second drone video, can see the quarry being filled up. Will fly regularly again and see if the quarry will get filled up and up.

Is this Cave Hill? Years ago it was proposed to build a new station between Mooroolbark and Lilydale and it was going to be called “Mooradale” the Place Names Committee doesn’t like composite names and rejected it and Cave Hill was suggested. I think there was a siding for the quarry.
That’s correct. This quarry seems refilling up with more soil on this last drone video. Never heard of a new station between Lilydale and Mooroolbark. Still not much residency area except new estates down south of the quarry.
The Kinley developers are still hopeful that a station will be added - its on their plans for the new ‘suburb’ that’s going to cover this land. Would love to see how the filling of the hole is going.

Well down Warren. Like your drone footage. Noticed the Warburton Rail Trail starts where the track ends. Is there a functioning railway station at street level for Lilydale at present? I don't live there so I can't tell.
Thank you for your feedback. The mew railway station still under construction. According to local news the work have been paused due to COVID restrictions and may delay to complete until next month or so.
Wow, thats some amazing footage. Would have been good to see a flypast of the old GTV9 tower also, even though its only FM nowadays. No wonder people worry about bushfire there, they are everywhere under that forest canopy. I believe the ABC tower ( guyed/self supporting one ) and the old HSV7 ( now commercial/ABC standby ) tower are about 140M, give or take, high. The main tower ( the old Channel 0/10 ) is at 200M height. These days i believe the commercial and ABC only operate at 50KW ERP from there, where back in the late '50's, '60's, '70's, '80's and '90's, they all operated ( analogue ) at around 200KW ERP. Enough that we could receive pictures and sound up in the Goulburn Valley, albeit with poor quality and 80' high guyed antennas on top of the house. I remember as a kid ( vaguely ) looking at the Old Channel 0 tower, and being amazed by the funky looking and scary ( to a kid ) radiating elements, that were near 9' across each bay, way bigger than the higher frequencies ones of 7 and 9. Oh, and the red neon ' 9 ' that adorned their 70M tower in the early years, a pity its gone now. This is some good footage to have, as you get the feeling that this sort of media is possibly not much longer for this world, what with all the online media these days. Thanks for posting. Oh, what drone did you use?, very stable and great 4K vision.
These TV towers are quite higher than 120M / 400 FT (maximum attitude allowed), I wanted to fly a bit higher to see around these TV towers for better view. That is good history you remember, that is right. My drone is DJI Mini 2. It is great small drone with 4K 30FPS. Happy to fly my drone as long I can see what the bird's eyes looks like above from the sky.
WHEN I WORKED THERE IN THE 1990'S AT THE ABC SITE CH2 WAS 20KW VISION AND 2KW SOUND, I THINK SBS WAS THE SAME AND CH31 WAS 1 KW.

Love to see how things look now after the storm of June 9th We have been devastated. Some areas of forest in Kalorama have been flattened.
I can imagine how the Dandenong Ranges been affected and devastated from storms. Plan to fly there again soon.

This area near where my mum live. I enjoy to go for a walk on the trail in the reserve.
