I used the same gold from 1991 wagoneer. Came out much more flat but had a hint of metal flake.

thats gold?? for some reason it looks more like grey silver to me? color looks nice though! does the liner still look okay after all these years or did it not hold up?

I was using a 5hp 5 gallon. Your pancake will do just fine. Doesn't require a lot of pressure. Think I sprayed at 40psi?

Abiti3131 i primered the roof and did not like the finish. 5 years later and no rust yet. Use at your own risk

Supposed to prime not only for rust, but they say raptor has adhesion problems on bare metal

On the roof I did use acid etching primer and the raptor spray did not respond any better. May be my fault. Think the primer flash dried due to too much psi or too much heat. Either way if primered in better conditions the roof result may have been better. Has not rusted on rest of body where primer was not installed. Hope this helps.

Abraham Rios. holding up very well. Only place that i am not happy with is above the windshield. Pealing a bit. I primed the roof and don't like the sheen as much as the rest of the jeep that is unprimed.

Why is it peeling? Prep?

After taking a good look at why it's peeling I've come to realize it has begun to shrink after 4+ years. It is no longer rubbery and has lost all moisture in the texture. It is starting to peal in several places. On primed services and non. Guess 4- years in the Texas sun is this products lifespan. Will post a new video to show.

Given that, it's only fair that I post a new vid with finished product 4 years later to prove not everyone with an opinion matters. you want to self etch primer the bare metal spts and any spots you missed sanding good you want to adhesion promote.

and you want to spray it between 40-60 psi

did u self etch primer this truck u did nd if not did it stick good

+NoOneImportant556 well iv done my truck in it and its not chipped its the best. I even had a crash i hit somone up the back and it didnt even dent or chip it but it smashed the back of someons car up brand new 2015 car and dented his but not mine we spray trucks for a living its our company

+Chris Medrano is that why folks wipe it down with xylene or something? maybe theres a primer out that woud etch.. i agree that it would stick the best on an etched surface

+Kevin S. its recommend the you spray a self etching primer over the bare metal spots for best adhesion. plus if there is a adhesion problem , your warranty is voided if you skip that step

Upol acid #8 is their primer they recommend. You can spray raptor right over it. You're never supposed to spray right onto acid etch primer but with theirs you can

Instructions recommend 40-60 psi. Higher psi, smoother texture
