This work is number 108, first published in 1884, and probably written a year earlier, in 1883. Rubinstein's style changed over the years, became more complex, the composer departed from his usual melody, which always has a direct emotional and figurative effect on the listener. The works of a later period become drier and more intellectual (although Rubinstein did not write stupid music even in his youth), I don’t know with whom to compare his work of the 1880-90s so as not to get into trouble ... With Brahms? But Rubinstein never liked the music of Brahms. Thank you very much for this post, it seems to be the first on You tube.

Harvard is part of the fascist Woke Cult. Yes students will receive incredible knowledge, but, they will also receive incredible Woke Indoctrination. I no longer trust any Harvard graduate. This country has seen first hand the damage their Woke ideology can cause. Nobody trusts the Fascist Anti-Science Pedophilic Democrat Woke Cult. Nobody trusts the Fake News Enemy of the People. @@christopherczajasager9030 Certainly. It was around 1965. I took lessons from you at a Y in the Bronx NY. I was pretty much a beginner then. We had several years together, and as I remember, you directed me to one of your former teachers, Mrs. Francis Kuhns of Kew Gardens, Queens NY who I continued with while attending the School of Performing Arts in Manhattan. I think you moved to teach at a University in one of the southern states in the U.S. I also remember being invited to attend some of your teaching sessions in Paul Hall at Juilliard. After High School I studied with Frank Iogha, who like yourself was a student of Rosina Lhevinne as well as Madam Vengerova. After that, graduate school at University of Michigan, with Marion Owen, a student of Josef Lhevinne. I certainly was steeped in Russian technique! I developed a deep interest starting in undergraduate school in Eastern religion and that eventually led to my taking monastic vows and becoming a Swami at the original Boston Vedanta Centre in Cohasset Massachusetts. I still practice and play in public. But enough about me. Am I correct in my thoughts that you now live in the Netherlands?
