I just added a sound filter to the song, a telephone one from this site to be exact voicechanger.io/ (twice). But you could do the same just playing with sound settings. I also added the sounds of the fireplace and rain, they're not very loud.

I guess this is the message of this song and the band, to embrace that things always change and be happy that we made it through. We can only fully appreciate certain things when they're gone, and there is something beautiful about that.

I wasn’t even alive during 9/11 but the lyrics still hurt me so bad. Knowing how it affected so many people causes me so much pain. And hearing the pain in Gerard’s voice singing about all of this happening in his life cuts through my soul in a way that I can’t really describe in words.
the beginning sounds like when you’re singing into a cone at recess in elementary school but once the backup vocals kick in I can visualize the cathedral
