As agricultural and urban growth accelerate, so does the presence of these contaminants, posing severe risks to both ecosystem health and human populations. Manuel will explore key findings from comprehensive reviews and recent studies on the distribution of pollutants across rivers, lakes, and groundwater in the region, highlighting gaps in research and urgent needs for improved environmental monitoring.
