Hi there i always thought this was mounted the wrong way also, So i looked it up and its got somthing to do with how hydroplaining works from what i understand of it this lets the water get ejected out by force (sucked out almost) with the rotation of the tyre which helps clear water from the contact patch, In a way its so when the water go into the syps and spread into the lardge tread blocks it has no way of filling them up to the point the tyre wants to lift with water Volume. I might be a little off but this is from what i understand of flow dynamics

Thats correct answer. Bud thats when the tire is mounted good. Michelin drive marker on the tire is wrong on almost all tires. On motorcycles And on cars there are also alot off problems like no drive marker at all. Take a look at a set off Bridgestone tires and hold them beside your bike and look at the profile. Ore any other tire brand.

@@florisnr11 The front tyre does different jobs to the rear this is why some companys choose to switch the pattern on the front as it gives better water clearing and support when trying to turn also this is why the parttern is looking like its going the wrong way but this is intentional

Yea I have done that one too the odd time, It was nice to have a good chat with a fellow adventurer

yea Brother seemed to get good milage out of them on his cb1000r about 8k on the rear i think you defo done well to get 11k out of a power 6

at a normal pace its a very nice road just got a bad rep for how many deaths theirs been on this part of the road

yea totaly agree think if you ride like a D@*k its going to be dangerous no matter what road your on.. This road has got some weird corners and bumps that catch some out

Indeed the road does have some odd corners but with a level head and at your own pace its a lovly road to ride and great views

@@PureEvolution At least in a car, pushing on a bit, some of the dips and bumps can be more problematic than the corners (which are excellent fun). I've had a few squeaky moments over the years due to a dip or bump.

Yea i did think that got a 360 camera now so makes it much easyer to get shots like this

@@ttiization yea grate idea but its a gen 3 so wouldnt see them because of the redesign of the exhaust

@@ttiization Yes i used them holes and 3d printed an arm to mount the cam to so it sat more out from the frame it did work good untill i hit the floor with the 2nd one i made lmao lucky cam was ok

Btw I went up hardknott pass last month for my first time on a big bike and I was nervous as hell how did you find it on yours?

@@frazer4523 Its a very daunting bit of road i have been doing a bit of off roading on the big bike which was a first for me so i took it little like that but with lots more grip. it felt pritty good and felt in control all the way to the top

yes the trail and rake angle does do wonders on feeling of a bike thats for sure brother has just got the new African twin with the 19" front so be interesting to see how that feels from his older 21" front

Looking To do the ACT and parts of the TET i have got used to it quite a bit now will be fine and its so much fun

@@PureEvolution I do like DJI stuff. I have a couple of DJI drones and the massive Powerbank 1000 they released recently, neither has ever let me down apart from once when one of my drones may have accidentally crashed into a wall but I strongly suspect that was user error. 😂😂 If/when my GoPro cameras give up the ghost I will most definitely try the DJI Action camera.

Great to hear they are amazing bikes yes i already looked into the tyres (Dunlop Trailmax Raid) is the ones i have been looking at. and the pivotpegs sound a good idea for sure. Thank you very much for your comment and great to see how far my video has reached

@@PureEvolution yeah the Dunlop Raids are what I’ll be getting next after I wear out the Shenkos. Unfortunately down here a set of Raids works out to be pretty much double the cost of a set of Shenkos. 😳 Keep up the good work mate 👍🏻

Hey thank you for the comment i would say for the type of bike its a great touring machine once you done a few mods to the bike and i never thought i wish i was on another bike as it did it so well I now have a Tiger 1200 rally Pro but this is due to wanting to go more off road MT09 is a great bike

Its an off-road bike. The tiger is an adventure bike. All variants of the 900 and 1200 family can go off road competently (Even the 850 sport was good off-road). Its nice to see someone actually using a bike for what it was designed for. Too many people buy adventure bikes and never take them off-road . . . its pathetic.

oh wow didnt think i would reach that far out they are inpresive bikes.. I did this with a full tank (20Liters) the Explorer has a 30 liter tank so extra weight up high not the best if your going to do any hard off roading but great for adventuring other wise

Steve Scott motorcycles Mansfield sorted me out prices might of gone up little since i had them done but wont be much difference for a set

@@PureEvolution Ah my Tiger 1200 is the GT Pro so only a 19” front 18” rear it’s 100% road focused so I’m looking at Dunlop Roadsmart 4’s to replace the appalling OEM tyres

Do you run 10 PSI and rail the throttle from every stop? Even my old S22’s lasted longer than 4k lmao.

If I think correct the ninja sx is about 230 ish kg so you might find that your chewing up tyres more as you need the GT versions that are better suited for heavier bikes also you rip.rear tyres up no.matter what if your TCS is off or on very low settings on sum bikes with that kinda power maybe try some next time round and let me know how you go would he very interested in the mileage differance

I’ve actually put the gt ones on as the standard ones were unavailable so thought I’d try them just to see.ill let you know how they go..cheers

It's road surface. I ride on a lot of chip seal and I barely get more than 3k on a Road 6.

Blocked or stuck Vtec Cam would be my first look as sure the Vtec solinoid flags a Light if not working correct

Yea i ripped mine up to the wear bar only and didnt help as for a bit of a test i turned TCS off see waht the wear would be like and wow it went fast then turned it back onto 1 and got little more out of tyre so guess its how much power it puts to the wheel at times of load maybe and yea GT version would of been better for that bike

Same here. Flat middle and now, metal bands showing. 4K miles on my 08 Suzuki Bking, 585lb, 104ft lb torque. I'm guessing my heavy torque bike is too much for these tires.

@@matthewtrinh4872 yea most tyres wont stand to that kind of drag strip type ripping with that kinda weight defo need the GT versions and do you ride with TCS off by chance

Thing is, I got the GT version due to the weight of my bike. I have a raw(no electronic riding aid) bike. I do admit I take off hard every now and then.

@@matthewtrinh4872 Yea bike with that power with no TCS will chew tyres like crazy tryed s22 with my tcs off for a while dont last long thats for sure

Yea doing hard pulls in straght line does square them off i do alot of hard corner exit type riding on the twistys so mainly on the side wall alot

@@PureEvolution That makes sense. I was hoping for a lot more longevity with Road 6's over stock but I really only got a few more thousand Km's before squaring off. Still an improvement and no noticeable loss of grip on the road.

@@hiddendragon415 yea 7k out of a sports touring tyre aint bad really as i am sure a s22 dont last very long with the riding you do as i was getting maybe 3k out of a rear

Even better value for sure then and got 2 guys in the group with z1000sx that run the road 6 also so defo works nice with that bike for sure, there getting about the same milage too

@@PureEvolution Thanks for the response. I got 10k miles from my Pirelli Angel GT2 (check out my views on that on my channel) and they still have just under 2mm of tread so normally I'd push then a bit longer. However, I'm getting ready for a trip to Scotland in June so new rubber is needed now.

@@NooBiker nice i am heading up that way end of August and yea i had a little left on the rear too most likly use little more before i change it let me know what you think between the 2 would be interesting as my brother used to love the angel GT tyres

@@PureEvolution the Angel GT2 is very good, pliable, comfortable and excellent in the rain and dry. Even had fun on a track based skills day. Nice even wear, did not square up, but I feel it lost a little bit of confidence in the wet towards the end (past 8-9k miles)
