Took me a few days to formulate thoughts on this one, because it's had a surprisingly large impact. I think we're probably all coming here with some laundry, whether it's just a couple dirty socks or three full loads of mud slathered cotton. Even without knowing everyone's laundry though, the Laundry Chat has yet to be anything other than an absolute blessing. Even this week, I've been hearing the words "not good enough," and "too weak," or "can't" more than I have in a good long while, including back when I dealt with depression, and I didn't know why. And then this drops. I'd love to say "and boom everything changed!" but that's not how things work. Still though, it's such a simple thing that I'd never considered. Watching this I was just like "....oh, yeah, why not?" Just being able to remind myself of this video and ask myself "why can't I?" and to remind myself that God is here and in control, not me, has been such a consistent and increasing help. You may not know everyone's laundry - but God does, and it seems as though He's getting a whole lot of washing done through you. Thank you again for taking the time out of your days and putting the heart and work in to make these podcasts and videos, they truly are a blessing. If in nothing else just to show the love and care of God that you would put as much as you do into these to help random strangers on the internet. I hope your having a wonderful week, and prayers that the remainder of your time up there and the move to Austin goes wonderfully!

I've always thought of Isaac as us, and the ram as Jesus. We are here, condemned to die as a payment for our sins, but are instead pardoned because God provided an alternative through Jesus. I may be reading into it too much, but a ram would also fit closely with Jesus being the Lamb of God, as well as something I hadn't though of until hearing this would be the possible correlation between the ram being caught by it's horns in a thicket, and Jesus wearing a crown of thorns. I had never thought about looking back though, that makes a lot of sense! It's something I need to do more often, is to look up at Him and back at what He's done for me, and lean on that promise and comfort instead of looking down at myself and wondering how I'll take care of myself looking forward. As for a "review," I suppose, I definitely do try to catch every one of these (on youtube at least, I'm not on iTunes)! They're a wonderful little pocket of the week, and always feel so full of honest peace and joy in the Lord. Additionally, they serve as great reminders in the middle of my work week to continue paying attention to and thinking about the lord, which as someone newer in their faith and surrounded by consumerism and just a busy life, reminders for that are always necessary. These laundry chats have ended up being a real blessing in my life, and I'm so glad that I found them after your brother's post about his wonderful donuts on Imgur a good while ago!

I’ve been binge watching your podcast episodes and I absolutely adore what you have to say! Your faith is beautiful!

May be a little bit weird, but something that's important to realize - no one is paying attention. Really. Even people that do pay attention to you generally aren't paying attention to things like that. Learned pretty quickly once I started carrying (CHL) that stuff doesn't have to look perfect, because even if it looks notably out of shape to *you,* chances are most other people won't notice. It's just a bit nice to keep in mind that even if there's a fairly large "issue" with something, chances are people won't be aware of it. Regardless, I'm glad that it seems to help! I honestly probably wouldn't have noticed it was a wig if you hadn't said so. But then again, I'm a guy, so...
