      Capitalism, as described by its advocates, means the private ownership of property. Beginning with self-ownership of the individual.

    I'm not sure Milton Friedman would be happy with how you summed up his work, but it's an explainer that attempts to encapsulate complex ideas into 20-30 second chunks. It's certainly a useful primer. Good work, TBBs!

    except, that global cooperation with the people trying the hide the fact that it is what it is- negatively affected the respondse and therefore so many got sick, so many died and so much time was spent having to sit indoors.

    SARS COV 2 (CV19) only was so expansive because governments freaked out about something that had a <0.09% chance of killing the host. It taught our governments just how authoritarian they can be.

    • @Vracka
      @Vracka 5 месяцев назад

      0.09% of 100 million people equals 90k dead. So about 300k in the US, half a million in europe and over a million deaths in each china and india. The more a disease spreads the more it's increases the variants of mutations it has, which may alter the disease to higher mortality rates or being much more contagious than before. Lockdowns and quarantines are the only things that prevent spreading and may kill a disease before it becomes a global pandemic. Nothing to do with your conspiracy bs

    Covid-19, one of the most important pandemics in world history? It was made in a lab. In a biological weapons lab, in China, under supervision of Anthony Fauci, with approval from Donald Trump's administration. Then, the lies about the vaccines started. The sole biggest propaganda campaign in world history, affecting the most people, costing the most money, being pushed by every single source that should be trusted? It was all lies. Every single conclusion they claimed to have, they did not have. And now, no one talks about this? This is like leaving out that the bubonic plague was actually a virus, and not a curse from the gods.

    I mean the Byzantine empire lasted another 1000 years after the plague or Justinian so I think it saying it was a factor in their decline is a bit misleading

    • @thor.halsli
      @thor.halsli 5 месяцев назад

      No, he is refering to the Black death witch is a bubonic plague. And the Byzantine Empire lost about 40% of its population becuse of it. The plague's high virulence and subsequent strain placed on the empire both militarily and economically directly resulted in the decline of the Empire. Witch fell about 100 years later

      It is an oversimplification, but I suppose there could be an argument made, that the plague weakened them so much that their competition outgrew them with time. Obviously, there isn't ever a single cause to anything as complex as a societal collapse.

    Thomas Edison was the Andy Warhol of the industrial revolution, he had a building where inventors came to work under contract and he "owned" the rights via contract to the inventions since they were made in his building with his materials and such. Same as Warhol did with his artists warehouse for the CIA, where do ya think they got the idea? It had worked in every industry to date, even women's magazines.... How do you get women to do what men want? You have a man start a magazine for women and tell them what to do, worked for the dear Abby types before dear Abby was allowed to be a woman writer
