It was because of these amazing miraculous facts that I was convinced it was authentic long before the shroud's authenticity. The recent discovery of the real age of the shroud is just the cherry on the cake for me. I'm sorry the shroud's authenticity isn't to your liking, but ignoring scientific research, and the fact the Turin Shroud is the most studied artifact in the history of mankind, is very foolish. Also I was in the U.S. Navy and that law too applies for military and reason to justify police

That was for the pagan nations and making God (Jesus Christ) as your ultimate center piece(idol) in your life is not a sin. As God is A Zealous and Jealous God and He Said in The Bible and Says You Shall Make No Other Idols or Graven images but for Me Except For Me Unto Me(aka God The Father). Because the pagans and people at the time were making golden calf’s/cows and pagan images and grave images fake gods and worshipping/praying to them instead of God The Father’s Holy Angel Statues and various Angelic Cherubim Statues such as on The Ark of the Covenant there are Angel statues that we Christians prayed to and venerated. Protestants do not read deep into the Bible. Last year we did Bible 1 in in a year this year we are reading the Bible the second time in 2 years from Valentine’s to Valentines as a self sacrificial love to God
