"You were going to deprive me of a guilt-free elopement?" Teresa is so funny and fun here. And it's also hilarious that she's holding a gun in her wedding dress later on. I like that he has the brains and she has the brawn. i wish they had used that a little more. In 03x05 "The Red Ponies" there is a great sequence with Lisbon chasing the killer. There are intercut scenes of her running and the horses running on the track, showcasing her physical ability. They really could have built her character even more by allowing her to do more physical scenes like that.

Lisbon never understood that when Jane said "anything for you Lisbon" he absolutely meant it. In his mind nothing was too good for her

I still believe Lisbon is the one and only for Jane. His true soulmate, he only had to go through hell to find her. He is ridden by guilt and the death of a child which he thinks is his fault but I think he loves her more than his wife. He was young, a showman and a hustler and surely he loved Angela but Lisbon is a whole new level, she is the love that heals the soul.

When she walks in at around 0:10 he checks with his finger that his ring is off. He's prepared everything. I think he wasn't lying when he told her how he's just used to it. She's the only one for him now, ring or no ring, but he takes it off because of the way it may seem to her.

She wears the ring around her neck. Next to the cross she always wears.

While this is sweet, romantic, cute & funny and one of my all time favourite scenes, it still kind of irks me that he conned her into thinking he spent a huge amount of money buying her an expensive ring when he really got it for free, having blackmailed the jeweller into giving it to him.
