Actually, the beds in the Connie are the escape pods. This the same for other ships like the Redeemer, etc... . Problem is, they don't work at this moment.

This type of rep system has always been stupid!
Yeaaaah headhunters is the goto, most of the missions they have involve you flying to some farm to shoot one guy for 100k. Been printing money running this one nonstop.

What happens when you hit the ground? Like is this a better alternative to dying then respawning?
Escape pods (when they add them) really should have limited flight capability. That would allow you to land softly, avoid landing in a really bad spot, or if in space, head towards the nearest planet or station.
If beacons start working again you could get someone to pick you up and give you a ride back to a station, or have a friend get you. Respawning is a thing, but then you have to get armor, weapons, ammo, and the rest of the things in your load out you had. Alternatively it is possible to return to your dead body and recover your stuff. This was much cooler though ;)
@@SnackpackingTV Thanks for the reply! I just feel like there's a lot of friction being put in place of actually getting stuck into the game, all in the name of immersion. Don't get me wrong I'm very interested to see if it can work, but part of me wonders if they'll try all this stuff out only to revert to more traditional gameplay mechanics. One thing I think could mitigate this issue of having to call someone in while you wait would be to allow you to call another of your ships in for delivery by an NPC and pay a fee, sort of like how GTA or Red Dead allow you to call in your car or whistle for your horse. It allows you to have gameplay mechanics that get you back in the action while also providing that immersion everybody craves from SC.
Having some strange stuff happen when trying to fly rn. I get up from the seat, doors open up and things randomly switch. It's a steaming mess.
Interesting. I've definitely had some strange moments as well, but the game is certainly more stable lately with meshing. Still a ways to go though!

Thats the nice thing about the connies (sorry taurus), you have an emergency getaway vehicle. Also, for those who dont know, whenever escape pods do come in, in the however long future, the connies beds are the escape pods, are are supposed to close up and pop out of the ships hull.

@@stratoreyener461 Its better than being stuck in EVA or on foot, and its certainly better than being dead.
@@stratoreyener461 if you have a c8r you can go to a ground station like mining outpost with the small ship and go to ground vehicle call and get the c8r since its small enough to get in there , but it will take long time depends on the planet and how far it is
What about the station near the jump point? Can you setup there and use it as a pyro home. Gotta say I'm not keen on getting ganked every 5 mins at one of the Rough and ready stations.
I'm pretty sure that station works like any other, so I don't see why not! I'm not super familiar with what services or shops are there, though.
Can you please explain how you turned on the qed? And if used any keybinds?
I used the red switch on the top left (left of the MFD screen). I do believe you can set some keybinds, though I haven't yet.
Not sure I like the MFD placement. Seems a little too low and in your eyeline for a dedicated fighter but I'll reserve judgement until I fly the thing for a while.

Seemed okay, but definitely not as open as either the Fury, or something like the Reliant.
Very nicely designed ship, but it seems to have a bit of a TARDIS effect on the interior - the external view doesn't look long enough for all those rooms.
It's interesting how they fit so much into these ships!

I think subscribers get it for a month, not 100% sure though because I bought one.
I did a CCU (ship upgrade) and a little bit of store credit for it, but I think some are getting it to fly for free for a month.
Whats the difference between guardian QI and normal guardian
QI can prevent people from quantum jumping, in return it is slightly heavier and has slightly lower turning speed. I'm not sure about missiles though, it does look like it carries 8 instead of 16 missilies
Are they bespoke? Or can I just purchase the missle racks myself and change em out?
Same. Outside of missiles and QED Dampener. But the Qi has to divert 2 power squares to the QED when they want to prevent quantum travel of other ships
@@Vioblightdo you know if the dampener has both modes or if it's only capable of keeping people from jumping away?

can you get in from the front canopy it looks like it might be possible with the marker like that theyre usually marking the entrances

Yes you can I just did.
To get out is kinda tricky because you have to look down and hold the mouse button for the wheel to show up but the option shows up off screen so its kinda finiky

Vanilla has double the missiles and a slightly faster maneuverability.

@@pxkqd You can get the same missile loadout on both varients. Just need to buy the missiles instead of coming default

Also important to note: If you plan on doing any Hauling missions, you will have to pay attention to where they are sending you! If you are being sent to a location that you are hostile with, it will make it quite difficult to make the delivery.

lol the blast shield on the front glass bruh that pretty major update even more than the cargo as that was suppose been release when 1st came out and cargo box are just bandaid fix they suppose drop off the ship as that was always the plan CIG putting doors is what call lazy cop out fix.
"adding alot of things to this ship" they only added a blast shield and allow Cargo Pods to barely open enough to be useful. it's till missing about 10+ of it's originally intended features.
We're waiting on: 1. The drone operator room (and drones in general) 2. The repair workshop 3. Modularity 4. Jump point mapping (whatever that means) Only 5 years later, getting close!
Manual loading was fun the first time. But when cargo hauling is your favourite loop, it gets annoying real quick. I had to drop it for something else, I simply don't have the time to manually load and unload the ship..
Agreed. You are supposed to be able to have it auto loaded still, but it's super bugged out right now.

First! for the Al Gore Rhythm
We should have a remote to operate the doors, ramps, and elevators. That would also help immensely when driving a ground vehicle out of a ship. You wouldn't have to exit your vehicle to close the ramp, then get back into the vehicle.

Yes control from the mobiglass I suggest this also in one of their forum chats. Hopefully they do this it would add such huge help.
Sloppy quick "solution" to keep the Carrack owners quiet. Hush now, we gave you doors so no more complaining, ok? If i remember correcly the cargo modules should be able to drop down to the ground instead of the doors acting like elevators or ramps. Correct me if i am wrong.
You are correct about the whole module dropping down. That will be much better than having the tailgate dropping down like a delivery truck. You will be able to load cargo in-place without a double move. They had to do something with manual cargo these days. In the past, cargo just magically appeared in the holds. I do believe this is just a start. I think several ships will get updated...like the Constellations!
Right, I believe the original idea was for the cargo pods to be entirely detachable, which would be useful once we have base building and crafting.
The barrier in the mid level stair access is because they didn't implement multi level ladder in this ship, so they block it so you wont fall down. You can only go to the top floor with the ladder and then down.
