How to shoot color film - Getting the color right.
Daylight color film is balanced for 5200K. This is a bright sunny day. If it's overcast or you're shooting in shade, the light isn't 5200K anymore. You have to add warming filters to correct for the different color temperature.

My DIY Film Scanning Setup

My DIY Film Scanning Setup. With a trip to The Home Depot I was able to build a copy stand. Using my Nikon D600 and a macro lens I'm able to scan my film negative. Using the software I already have I'm able to convert the scans to positive images. Film vs Digital - The magic of film
Просмотров 73 месяца назад
Ok, so it's not really film vs digital and more about the magic of film. The magic of film is a real photographic print. Not a digital print, but a photographic print. The print is what really makes shooting film worthwhile. There is nothing like a photographic print. Nothing wrong with digital, but there is a difference. To Think or Not to Think?
Просмотров 93 месяца назад
How do you approach taking pictures? Me, I just go out and do it. I try not to think too much about how or what I'm doing. I go out and take pictures and look at what I got later. If I get something, great. If not, oh well, next time maybe. Please visit my website: www.mcvisualart.com

I photographed a jazz and punk performances over the weekend. Charles McPherson performed Saturday at Lou Lou's and Poised in the Darkness on Sunday at The Tower Bar. I love film. I'm still shooting it as well. Great video.
Thanks. Setup my scanning station today. That will be my next video
@@mceniceros59 looking forward to it
I have taken some excellent closups of birds and other wildlife with my late Grandfathers D80 with a 80-200mm zoom lens.
It’s a great camera
great camera i still have one i converted it to full spectrum the easiest one ive ever done
I have a D70s, still have a D100 too. The buffers are hard to get used to again. They fill up fast when you're used to newer cameras.
@@MikeOrazzi i also have a D100 too its not a bad camera at all
@@rawalker666 I like to mix up equipment and try not to keep using the same set up. I've been doing photography a long time, so I have a lot of options.
I find that this helps slow me down. That's one of the things I like about it.
I'm thinking about getting a D200
If it works, use it. I used my 15 year old D3 the other day for soccer.
That’s what I think. You don’t need 100 megapixels. Just use it 😊
mean get 4 views
The video is great, you need to keep promoting your channel. Is not hard.
Thanks, I will
Forgot to mention the photos of your niece, great shots. She’s a lovely looking young lady.
Thank you, I'll pass on you compliment.
Great shots. Very atmospheric.
Thank you very much. the Old Idaho Penitentiary is a cool place to visit.
Your exhibition shot is very good. I hope it does well for you. I shouldn’t worry too much about the person at the flea market, there’s always one! I hope your journey becomes more enjoyable as it goes on.
Thank you. It's gotten better, I'm looking forward to doing a lot more things.
Thanks for sharing the excellent photos. Beautifully done. I still use my Canon Powershot G12 and still find its CCD color rendering accurate and lovely. I found it a bit awkward to grip but was able to find a 3D printed grip on Etsy that I was able to adapt which makes it much more usable. I had a G12 years ago when it first came out, sold it and repurchased it a few years ago. A keeper. Picture quality still holds up. Excellent lens.
Thank you. The Powershots are great cameras. The prices have gone up so much, I was able to get mine for $100. I want to get another one, but not for the price. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks!
Thank you
I had that G9 when it was new. Takes great pics in daylight.
I love this little camera. At low ISO like 200 and with a steady hand or tripod you can shoot in low light.
Hey brother, nice going. Love your basic setup and shots.
Thank you vvery much. I tyr to keep things simple.
Looking forward to following you on your journey.
Thank you. Looking forward to the adventure
