ESIC colleges generally get less workload and very basic testing as only Employees are there, so u may not learn as much as a good government college. Payscale is high though. Wouldn't prefer if getting other option.

@kalanidhipuvaneswaran2180 Mumbai pays that much easily...NCR region pays even more..now with HMPV scare may get more importance...during Covid some labs were giving 2 lakh per month too (not for fresher but someone with some experience in Molecular diagnosis)

Do fellowships and certificate course especially in Infection Prevention and control which is gaining a lot of importance and is mandatory for NABH. Learn molecular techniques coz most new or reemerging infections are viral. Even current HMPV epidemic in China is viral

You can take up small research projects to further ur CV

Delhi Micro tbh. Patho is already saturated while Micro is gaining ground rapidly..if u are going to settle in urban setup Micro is good..make an informed decision..as an UG many understimate Microbiology grossly. Infection control is also gaining importance and molecular diagnosis.

No personal experience of that med college

Pathology is very much saturated. Micro is gaining lot of importance post Covid especially with viral diseases like Monkey Pox, Zika, Nipah and also increasing Antimicrobial Resistance and need for Hospital Infection Control. Micro jobs are mainly in urban settings though. You can use your own discretion, Micro is certainly not as bad as people project it to be but need to do from a good institute. Routine reports can be signed by any of the 3 MDs, Micro, Patho or Biochem

@ppt52 yes of course. U just need 1 yr of SRship(or any other SRship criteria) and get selected, that is the only NMC criteria afaik. Rest institute of ur PG doesnt matter

MD Micro has more jobs in private sector , MD PSM more jobs in govt sector. Both are pretty relaxed. MD Micro Lab consultant job is one of the most relaxed one except for Corporate pressure, the work itself is very relaxed.
