I have had the privilege of watching many of them live at the world juniors in Gothenburg. Där kan man snacka om perfekt upplägg! Dottern spelade Gothia cup i innebandy, hotellet ett stenkast från Scandinavium, en kort promenad till coolcard. Man var i konstant rörelse mellan innebandy matcher, JvM matcher och hockeykort 🤩👍

The spread is usually greatest when a product is new. Consensus around what a YG should be worth is weak. If someone puts a YG on ebay for $0.99 and the auction ends in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep, it will be cheap for whoever sets the clock. Another classic example when a product is new is ”superfans". "I really want my Matt Rempe YG, I dont care if I pay $35".

Gretzky was often light years ahead of opponents in his prime. Man, I miss watching the great one. So inspiring, so much joy and awesomeness. The funny thing is that I still look for the same qualities in young players and prospects and rejoice when new talent emerges that takes the game to the next level 😄👍

My Extended project was canceled when my father became ill. I'll probably pick it up again at COMC's black friday sale. 2023-24 Extended will be one of the boxes I try to buy at coolcard in Gothenburg in January. My youngest daughter is once again playing the world's biggest floorball tournament in Gothenburg after New Years. I have just booked 5 hotel nights and will be ready for floorball, hockey cards and hopefully an SHL game. Last year, it was the World juniors at the same time in Gothenburg, which was absolutely fantastic!

@@JulieFarnum Ohgren ( Swedens captain in the 2024 world juniors) and Wallstedt is two solid Minnesota YGs 😃👍 Im doing an in depth video about the best Young Guns in 24/25 series 1 next week. In January I had the privilege of watching many of them live when they played the world juniors in Gothenburg, including Hutson, Gauthier, Nazar and Ohgren. So I really look forward to sharing my impressions.

@TheSwedishHockeyCardCollector yes I am high on both of them.

@ I managed to watch some of the games Ohgren played before he was reassigned to Iowa. Unfortunately, he did not score. He's primarily a hard-working scorer so it wouldn't have hurt his resume with a goal or two when he got the chance to play in the Wild. Wallstedt has great potential, but his short call up last season showed that he is not quite ready for the NHL yet. The Wild just signed him to a two-year contract and within that time frame he should be ready to at least be the team's back up goalie.

@ By the way, I really enjoy watching Minnesota so far this season. Kaprizov has been awesome 😃👍

I had to check the prices while I wait for my 24-25 box to arrive. Rempe has built a bit of a following, not bad for a player who is bound to play in the bottom six and fight for the rest of his career 😄👍.

Thank you! 😃👍 I totally agree with you. Messier is one of my favorite players of all time. I was really devastated when he left the Oilers, but finally accepted it. It was really super cool when Messier and Gretzky reunited in the Rangers, even if it wasn't as amazing as in the Oilers in the 80s.

He is one of my big favorites, but I know there are many different opinions about Messier out there. Man I miss the 80s team Canada batteling the Sovjets. That 1987 final series was so awesome 🤩😍

Thank you! I've had some of these cards since the 90s. Most of my old cards were destroyed when our basement flooded in the early 2000s. However, I have had plenty of time to restock the collection since then 😄👍Im Thinking about making more similar videos with HOF players like Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, Lindros and Bourque. I love it when people share their memories 😊👍 Me and my cousin ran after Messier and Yzerman outside the globen arena in Stockholm back in 1989 when Sweden was the host country for the hockey world championship. We hunted for autographs outside the arena and we missed Messier and Yzerman by the smallest possible margin. It was a lot of fun to be a kid back then 😊👍

I totally agree 👍 Hoglander was a fan favorite when he played in SHL and i hope he will reach his full potential in the NHL.

If the list applied to 2000-2010, Lidstrom would have been the undisputed No. 1. Lidstrom was great during the nineties, but became outstanding in the late 90s and then totally dominated with 7 Norris trophies between 2001-2011. @@thepassionatepackrat1988 awesome that you mention Kent Nilsson. He was such an awesome player. Incredibly innovative and brilliant. He really loved playing ice hockey. All hockey fans in Sweden were happy when he chose to end his career in the SHL.

@@thepassionatepackrat1988 Thats great! I remember chasing after Messier, Fuhr and Yzerman trying to get their autos when the IIHF worldchampionship was held in Stockholm back in 1989. Me and my cousin, two kids running like crazy to catch them before they entered the globen arena.

They were my favorite NHL swedes when I was a kid in the 80s. The 1989 Stanley cup final is still my favorite. Flames vs Habs, Loob vs Naslund 😍🤩

@@thepassionatepackrat1988 Loob made an amazing comeback in Farjestad when he moved home and led the team to great success until he chose to retire in 1996. Then he was general manager in Farjestad for many years.
