Chokecherries are EXCELLENT!! I made syrup.
Oh, delicious @janejones5362!! Thanks for sharing.
IS THIS LANCASTER CITY ON PENNSYLVANIA OR IS IT ANOTHER ONE. IF IT HAS A VIABLE PEACH TREE, I'M WONDERING~ DO A LOT OF PEOPLE HARVEST WATER FROM WATER DUCTS FROM ROOFTOPS TO SUPPLEMENT DURING DRY PERIODS?
Hi @Shosi770NYC this is Lancaster City, PA. While some states enact restrictions on rain water collection, here in PA we are fortunate to be permitted to harvest rain water. We have many neighbors who have safely installed rain barrels- allowing water from their gutter system to be filtered into the rain water collection device. Explore the many other methods to harvest rain water, ad share it with us!
Great work!

Can you update how much of the ingredients you're using?
Herb Sachet (you’ll need a cheesecloth or coffee filter bag and butcher’s twine/string): 3-5 whole allspice 3 sprigs fresh thyme 2 bay leaves Gumbo: 2 sticks unsalted butter AND ½ - ¾ cups all-purpose flour (to create your Roux) 1 cup white onion (diced) * 1/2 cup green bell pepper (diced) * 1/2 cup celery (chopped) * 1 cup shallots (minced) * 8 cups vegetable (or chicken) stock * 1/2 bunch collard greens (chopped) * 1/2 bunch kale (chopped) * 1/2 bunch dandelion greens (chopped) * 1/2 small head of green cabbage (diced) * 7 okra (halved, lengthwise)
I also didn't know the origin of gumbo was not the deep south.
I didn't know that okra came from Congo.
