Being a local and seeing so many recognisable people it's strange not seeing them say hello or stop for the usual quick chat.
"filma nois ná globo" kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
It's really weird seeing the old station signage even though this is only 2019.
What I've noticed this year, always leading up to Halloween kids from around the verious neighbourhoods would be out collecting firewood for week's leading up to the night of the fire. Haven't seen it this year 2021. What's up doc. D8
it takes an hour I tought it was something like 20minutes of a journey
It would be in most countries. Irish trains are sloooooooooow!
This service has to share the line the Dublin dart trains plus the euro port service from rosslare which slows it down
So nice

In Dublins fair city where the girls are so pretty.
Do they ever get to see the sun?
Yes, of course they do. ( When they go on vacation to Spain )
Yes, of course we get to see the Sun. We're known locally as the sunny South East, because we have the highest percentage of sunshine in Ireland. Also the date reads 29/4/2019, which means this was made when it was still Spring.
Hy îs there any leisure center ,also the Sport addict store?
Pool near the railway station and river walk
i cant wait to see u again dublin

At the very start you are looking at a hotel which has since become an provision centre for Asylum seekers so dont be surprised if you see all sorts of african/south american etc. looking people emerge from there. Directly opposite behind the crenilated wall is the abbey grounds with runis of a monastic Settlement dating inot as far back as other Wicklow monastaries ( after all Christianity apparently arrived in Ireland at Wicklow and the name in Irish has the name of the monk Mantán who was the first christian in Ireland, in the 300s?) Anyway this only dates to the second generation Angle Normans, the Early 1200s. @ 52secs if you turn right the RC church is just up the Hill worth looking at @2:29 the Ice cream sign ... local newsagent and coffee shop you can walk through and has a back entrance into a car park. there is a double Elevtric Vehicle car charget there. You can also access it on foot through the arch beside the tourist office @3:26 there is another coffee shop @3:37 you are looking at the door to the Tourist Office. To the left is an archway to a car park which can be accessed by car at the next junction left. @6:56 looking under the Blue sign about 100 yards away is where Halpin was born. His monumant is back opposite the tourist office. He was the captain of the Great Easter which laid the first transoceanic cable. @8:37 in case you missed the sign on the way down is Bridge Street Books @12:27 Sammy the seals favoutite spot to cross the road... opposite the fish shop. They stopped giving him fish and he seems to have socially disdanced duriong Covid and disappeared in early summer 2020 but he was back again In March 2021 when I saw him getting hand fed from a fishing boat. @12:54 If you looked left about 50 yards away is an entrance to the left to and Organic/environmental produce shop and a vegan/vegitarian resturant run by a lay order of brothers and sisters. @16:59 backing onto Tá Sé a pub for a session yu are looking at a monument to the Wicklow Rebellions @18:23 thats the Gaol ( Jail for those that are seperated by the atlantic Ocean and a common lunguage) People were hanged from that little " door" at the top middle. Another nasty piece of work was Lieutenant Hepenstall one of the Wicklow Militia. He was called The "Walking Gallows". iIf he took disike to you on the street and you could not explain your business there he struck you and strung you from his backand walking around with you ( he was something like six foor ten) until you died.@19:36 another double charger in the car park to the left and the entrance to the convent...they have a shop and a 70 acre organic farm
Racist lad
I don't think your comment re the grand Hotel and its residents was racist, you were merely stating facts, you did not use any derogatory or offensive language.
@@Vent330 I happen to have made friends with a black african man and a brazalian who live in the hotel. I wonder how many denizens of direct provision centres and their families my accuser calling me a racist has driven around the countryside for free and had tea with?
Quite, some people are too quick to throw the racist word around, I remember when the refugees arrived, I was visiting family at the time, on the whole the people of wicklow were very welcoming, the only concerns were that the town no longer had a hotel, a perfectly legitimate concern, the grand was such a huge part of the community for generations

I used to live on Clare Street some 60 years ago and it's been about 50 years since I was last there. It's interesting to see that some of the same shops are still there. It's also amazing to see how many people are walking in all directions. Maybe I'll get back here one day for one last walk..............many thanks for putting this online. It brings back many happy memories..
I'll be honest-the river was impressive, but the town seemed incredibly quiet and a little bit like an industrial area. I expected a historic town, littered with antique shops, cafe's and interesting buildings. I'm hoping to visit Ireland, but Galway is the most impressive town/city I've seen so far.
If your visiting Ireland I would avoid Wicklow town I've lived here all my life and I can't stand the place very boring
he missed the Weir on the other side of the Bridge!
@@jlcrproductions301 I feel drawn to Wicklow Town for some reason.

What a load of shit this is. Why was it posted? Why even do it?
Why are you commenting on this video?
Great town .. Long time now 😍🤔
I live in wexford town but for some reason this video is just really interesting to see my home through someone elses eyes.
this lovely town is on our radar for some time now, we'd like to move to wexford in 2021 (so that our 2 kids can study proper English for 2-3 years). any recommendations?
@Dawson Flynn it's a scam for anyone reading don't go onto the website 😁
Wicklow is a nice town. Why is the tar on the roads so rough in Irish towns? It's much smoother and darker tar used in other EU countries.
Muppet
Wrong chesehead im from York
Engine is quieter than the Dart. 😗
That’s because the dart is electric
Fact:everyone watching this is from Dublin
Greetings from Mexico City ))))
Nope
No im from New York
no I'm from kerry
Nah
22:40 a dog driving a car :)
4K - so what if the resolution is high, since it is quite out of focus. Mainly because you move the camera instead of calmly put it to the window. It is a pity, because the route is unique, which this video doesn't fully show...
Looking back on it now. It could be better in many ways. I will film that route again someday. Soon I will have some footage from Dublin Bus routes. These might be of interest to you.
GOOD BOY 👍👍👍❤️❤️
Great video but why do the idiots who run Irish rail decide to do station refurbishments in the middle of tourist season in the Summer? All the scaffolding looks ugly.
I'll be honest. I barely noticed myself. Have you heard about the larger developments planned for around the area of the station? 'Connolly Quarter' they are calling it. I hope they tred carefully and do it right.
You talking about in Pearse? The roof is being replaced.
Tourists are only a day north so here it would make no difference to them a lot of them in particular Americas don't spend much in the economy, often saw two nursing a pint.
Erm. That’s not the Stena Europe, it looks like the Stena Nordica. The “Europe” is currently having a major refit done in Turkey
Thankyou very much. Title updated with that new info.
very nice mate i thought there's no smoking announcement whenever the train left connolly or pearse and same to pearse to drogheda and maynooth and connolly to sligo
I don't know. I haven't taken enough train journeys to be able to tell you.
Well often theres announcements after getting out of Heuston D:)
Brilliant Journey and Scenery you Filmed!😃.
Thankyou very much. The comment is appreciated.
