Wofford Heights, Kern County - On August 5th, 2017, the Calgary Fire ignited near the intersection of Calgary Drive and Evans Road. The wildfire consumed 50.5 acres, destroying a total of 9 homes, 5 outbuildings, and 6 vehicles. The fire was declared 100% contained on the evening of August 7th. We stayed there the day that OJ Simpson went on the run in his white Ford Bronco. We had a great time, OJ not so much.
