What is Ed doing in this song?

I was there, 29 years old... Best concert I ever saw and heard. They were the headliner on the 3th night.( Metallica headlined the final night.) The band was really feeling it, and it was so loud but stil very clear. They played songs from Ok conputer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the thief. Dave Grohl later admited that OK Computer was the first time he noticed the same thing happening with an alternative album as with Nevermind. It catapulted Radiohead into fame the same way. Since then they added three more fantastic albums, and where on their peak in terms of performance and creativity. After this concert my friends left to the campsite because they were tired and cold. And I stood there like hundreds of other people staring at the stage for a long time. Almost hypnotised. Strange people approached me and asked if I was ok....
