Organization of a Molecular Virology Laboratory
Here is the organization and arrangement of molecular virology laboratory with workspace. Actually it is a laboratory for plant virus research. Such viruses are not harmful to humans so no strinct safety measures not required. I have lots of memory with this lab and this is why I uploaded this lab video. I have achieved all of my research skills with this lab. Hope you will like it.

FISH | Fluorescent In-situ Hybridization
Просмотров 16 тыс.4 года назад
Fluorescent in-situ hybridization is a molecular technique uses fluorescent active probe to binds with DNA or entire chromosome. Probe binds complementary DNA sequence and emits signal which can be visualized under fluorescent microscope. Virology lab animated the entire procedure in this video. Please comment here and if you like our videos please subscribe to support.

    Definitely add some voiceover instead of the music to explain the whole process. This video could've been so much better with just a bit of explanation.

    This is very helpful. I have been using NEB's kit with JM109 cells and always have floating particles (cell debris) with the pellet after the neutralization of the lysis. Any suggestions to avoid this, or cause? Do your debris pellet well with this Qiagen kit? I am always getting genomic DNA contamination

      @virologylab5956 Год назад

      Try to remove the growth medium (LB or other liquid media you used) perfectly. Then add extraction kit. Sometimes growth media remains in the tube (after centrifuze) and reduces the efficiency of kit. Hope you will not find floating cell debris.

    I don’t find this video to be all that helpful, as it doesn’t actually explain what non-sense meditated RNA decay really does or the mechanism for it. I think it would have been better if there was a voiceover explaining what’s happening during each of the animations

    Besides the typos, STRAND of DNA (but it doesn't matter for understanding the concept), the video doesn't explain the role of the RNA polymerase nor how the function of sense and antis-sense strands in gene expression. The animations are good though

    how denaturation happen?

    • @virologylab5956
      @virologylab5956 4 года назад

      Normally in LAMP denaturation step is avoided by stand displacement reaction. Two stand displaced by an enzyme called Bst or Gsp DNA polymerase. The enzyme has high strand displacement activity. The whole reaction proceed at constant temperature +_ 65 degree Celsius. It helps LAMP to get out from temperature barrier over conventional PCR process.
