I’ll be going to Rome in a few weeks and am considering taking the X100S because of the small form factor and photo quality. I’m on the fence over the X100S, X-Pro1 and a couple primes, or the X-T4 and some primes. Do you have any regrets about not using another camera? Great photos and video BTW.
Wish you happy stay in Rome! Right now I have X-H1 and sold X100S mainly because I wanted to shoot video in 4K. Other than this, X100S is amazing, compact, and fixed lens make you think and move for a shot. I liked to set F8 and manual focus for like 5m in front of me and it allowed me to quickly snap pictures without the need of waiting for auto focus.

Is this straight out of camera of edited in post? And I have seen that it has an issue with lines in distance when you shoot, is it accurate?
This is out of camera with b&w recipe and just a bit stabilised in post as was handheld. Yeah, lines and other visual defects appear when there are a lot of subjects in the frame. Still, this is just for fun and I wouldn’t shoot to much video on this old camera :)

Thank you for the comment. I shoot mainly F5.6, manually adjusting ISO and shutter speed, because auto mode (aperture priority etc) is not ideal. Those are mostly RAWs edited in LR.

Thank you for your feedback! Honestly, bought X100S to forget about editing and getting JPEGs straight from the camera but after trying a couple of recipes I understood that RAW is all I need as I have 1 color and 1 BW LR presets, which perfectly match.

Yes, right, indoor as well as evening outdoor photos are without flash and could have been better though standing still😬

Nice shots from my hometown! I like your color editing. Keep up the good work! I still use my old X100S from time to time, though I have upgraded to an Xpro2. The X100S is perfect, when travelling really light is key :-)

I imagine the battery life is trash. How are you handling that issue?
One, even old, battery should handle 30-50 minutes of video. However, 2 extra non-original batteries will cover you for 2 days of shooting (I would say for 350-400 images).
