I get this question alot. My truck came from the dealership with a Key FOB. I have seen After Market Key FOBs for sale at my local Auto Parts Big Chain Store but You might need to buy one from the dealership depending on the year and model. Not a bypass. Truck stopped recognizing the key (code B1600 for the PATS system not recognizing key) and went into disable mode (code p1260 for truck thinking it's being stolen and going into disable mode shutting down engine) .. it could be anything such as accidentally inserting wrong key and trying to crank.

And yes it works for us 2003 Ford F-150 owners

Need more info for your situation..whats it not doing?.if you only have a key, do you have automatic door locks and no key fob? Do you have an alarm with a kill switch but lock your doors manually with a key? If you only have a key and an alarm then there should be a small box with a red light somewhere on or under your dashboard and it should have a reset button on it....disconnect your battery cable for a few minutes and then reconnect it, then push and hold that reset button down for 3 -5 seconds and the alarm should beep. I think I have a video about it. If you need a key fob you can buy an after market one at auto zone or O'Reilly's or pep boys, and places like that .... Good luck bro with whatever problem you have with your truck...

@@DodsonDodsworthI’m having the same issue as well, it doesn’t alarm and someone tried to steal it, I already replaced the wires but the only thing is I don’t have a key fob, not sure if I have to take it to ford dealership

@@DodsonDodsworth I bought the truck used it’s an f150 single cab, and I’ve been trying to tackle it down yesterday, but even while in theft mode will I be able to program the fob or does it need to be taken to a more professional locksmith?

I’m having the same problem as you guys and am going to try the tips that Dodson recommended for a permanent fix. But here’s a temporary fix for when you’re stranded. Put the key in the ignition, turn it all the way forward and let it sit there for 10 minutes. This will temporarily disable the Ford security system and let you start the truck. But it doesn’t always work the first time. Sometimes you have to do it twice. Mine will always start eventually though.

Thanks for watching, I'm not sure about a "starter relay" but I do know that there is a "starter solenoid" and sometimes those go bad...the solenoid is attached to the starter, if that's the case, you probably be better off buying a new starter or a rebuilt starter (trade in). Let me know what you find out.

My truck has an alarm system with anti theft. That's why it comes with a key fob. I can automatically lock and unlock the doors with the key fob or I can lock and unlock my doors manually with the key. If someone breaks into my truck and opens the door the alarm will go off and the truck won't start. If they cut the wires to the alarm the anti theft won't let the truck start. Early model Killswitch. Came from the factory dealership that way when bought new.

I don't know. I call it the anti theft reset button. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds and the horn will beep. Then turn the ignition key the way the manual says and you should be good. You might need to disconnect the battery cables for a few minutes then reconnect the battery cables. Press the reset button and then turn the ignition the way the manual says.....good luck and thanks for subscribing. Will be making more videos soon.

Ok, sorry to hear that, maybe the problem is something else...try disconnecting both battery cables, wait about 5 minutes then reconnect the cables, the alarm should start beeping, then try resetting it the way it shows in the manual ....good luck, hope you figure it out and thanks for watching.

If you lost the key FOB, (transmitter) you can buy an after market key FOB and program it the way it says in the manual....I don't know why you would have a truck with an alarm system and not have a Key FOB...did you buy the truck used and didn't get the key FOB and now you can't start it?? I don't know your situation, well good luck, I hope you get the problem fixed...

That's completely my issue. Bought my truck years ago and never realized it was supposed to have a fob until stuck in pats lock

​@Dodson Dodsworth, this is my problem. I bought a used truck. Didn't have a key fob. Have had truck for a while now. Needed a new battery. Changed battery and now truck won't start.

So is there any other way to start the truck without the transmitter key fob

not sure I understand your situation, did your truck come with a key FOB but you lost it?? My truck came with a Key FOB and Anti-Theft device... If your truck came with both, Try this,

Press and hold the anti theft button for 3 to 5 seconds and when the horn beeps try turning the ignition 8 times and then wait till you hear a clicking sound and then try to start it.

This is how the owners manual says to link the Key FOB...Let me know if this info helped you..don't forget to reset the anti theft device and then reset fob by turning ignition 8 times like the owners manual says. ruclips.net/video/D4B91SgU4aY/видео.html

Try this, disconnect the battery cables and wait a few minutes, then reconnect the cables, the horn should start beeping really loud, then press and hold the alarm button under the dashboard for 3 to 5 seconds and the horn should stop beeping, then turn the key like it says in the manual and it should start.
