Classical Piece, A puzzle. Impossible to play
@@joshuarai738 challenging, but not impossible. At least that’s what I think. Have you tried to play this one or any other Chopin nocturnes?
@ Just Played Fur Elise Intro, Moonlight Sonata Half way Both Beethoven’s Advance Piece 😀😀😀
@ you’ve got good taste! You could probably also play the Chopin posthumous Nocturne in C minor or some of the Mazurkas if you’re wanting to play Chopin 😁

Thank you, Noah!
Lovely performance!! ❤🎶👏🏻
Thank you so much! She worked super hard on this piece.
shocked. the man has been dead for 175 years and a new piece of his music that no one has heard before, arrives. i've heard all his pieces and know how to play a few of them (guitar) and here we are with more. so happy to hear this.
I know, so surprising (and exciting!!!) Glad you enjoyed the video. I've played a lot unknown music by lesser known composers and so it was fun to tackle this piece - an unknown piece by a composer whose style I know really well!
Cat is jealous of Chopin
He's jealous of pretty much ALL composers
I'm all out of breath from reading that fast😄
Oooh sorry to make it too fast - trying to not bore people!
Just learned the notes. Working on speeding it up 😊
good for you! There are a lot of notes to learn for sure!

Fantastic interview! This is a rare opportunity to hear the thoughts and emotions of a gifted, competition-winning pianist. I love the way Jeff and his teacher, Rebecca Bogart, go way beyond the traditional and expected to share what is involved when taking your talents to a whole new level. What really goes into playing and performing beyond the right notes and the right dynamics. I think all musicians will find this helpful and inspiring. Thank you Jeff and Rebecca!
thank you so much for your comment, Cathie! I really appreciate it.

Do you need some tips to practice piano anywhere? When you are traveling and you miss your piano practice, you can use these tips! Here's the last part of this 4-part series. Try to hear the music in you head as best you can. If you already listened to it, you'll be more able to do it. If you can't do it, instead work on ear training. There are tons of great apps for it. Some are pretty fun. Watch the video for ideas. The time you spend on them will be paid back 1000%.
Do you want some tips to practice piano anywhere? Even when you are traveling, you can practice your piano with these tips. Here's part 3 of this 4-part series. Study the score, look for key features, and find some patterns. Sometimes a pattern could be 1-2 measures. What parts look difficult? Why? Break the piece into chunks. 4-16 measures is a good length. Take notes on your score!

Part 2 of 4: Find several performances you like of the piece you are learning. Listen for the structure of the piece. Most music has a dramatic structure, just like a movie or a novel. This listening exercise is for you to discover that story. Where is it most exciting? Where do sections of the music repeat? What are the moods of the various sections? What sounds like the most difficult section? Mark all these things in your score.
Hi, Rebecca. Thank you for your video and advice. Best wishes to you.
You're very welcome. Hope you enjoyed it. : )
Hi, Rebecca. Thank you for your video. ❤ Best wishes to you!
Thank you for watching! And have a good day!
Part 1 of 4: Find several performances you like of the piece you are learning. Listen for the interpretive details of the piece. Where does the performer speed up, slow down? What small dynamic fluctuations do you hear? There are usually MANY more than are printed in the score! Does the performer bring out some hidden melodies you didn't notice before? Do yo hear different types of sounds (legato, staccato, different tone colors)? Notice any interesting pedaling? Make all these things in your score. You'll have a great start on getting a detailed mental recording of the music. And you'll sharpen up your ability to discern interpretive subtleties. Have you ever tried something like this? If so, was it helpful? What did you learn?
