Thanks for watching! I am not aware of there being a peak time of year for shipping traffic through the canal. It is generally always busy. A recent limiting factor however is that canal transits have been cut back (+/-40%) in response to drought conditions that have affected the water levels in Gatún Lake. My understanding is that at the moment, restrictions have been lifted, but could go back into effect in April of this year.

Hello David! This was a quick overnight stop along the road between the Cinque Terre and Paris. Our sightseeing was pretty much limited to the village and, of course a wine celler. Hope that all is well your way. Packing for an August 18th - October 7 holiday this year. Must make up for time lost to COVID. Cheers!

HAL is a great cruise line! The Panama Canal crossing is great. We have done both a complete transit and most recently a partial transit. During the partial, we did an excursion that brought us tobthe Gatún locks, (the new locks), which was informative. ALL dining options on the Eurodam are excellent from the Dive-in to the Pinnacle and Tamarind. We limit the Lido to lunch as we enjoy the service in the main dining room, Pinnacle and Tamarind for dinners. Be sure to try them all...there are no bad choices! If you do visit the Pinnacle and/or the Pinnacle bar, see if Myk Myk is on board (he is HAL staff) and tell him that we say hello. Just mention prosecco, he will know! Enjoy your cruise!

Hello David and Amparo! Thank you for the kind words. I am afraid that I will have to fight you for the scallops. 🙂They no longer like me and promptly eject if I attempt to eat them. I do love scallops and I do miss the way that they are served in the UK with the red roe. Not allowed to do that in the "land of the free". LOL. Although we live only a short distance from the Maine border, about 30 minutes, Boothbay is about 3 hours away. It can become quite busy. This trip was during COVID restrictions, and the crowds were pleasantly absent. Warm regards, Ron and Bette

Hello David! I met an older gentleman on this cruise that gave me some great advice. He told me that you can slow down anytime you want, but you can never go fast again. This summer's trip was cancelled due to the war in Ukraine. Planning for 2023. Best to the two of you!

Thanks for watching David! Yes, travel is lethal to prejudice. Unfortunately most Americans never leave the country and haven't a clue. Only about 30% of Americans own a passport and never leave the center of their small universe.

Ireland is a wonderful place. Great sights, food, beer, and best of all, great people. We spend a month on this visit, my first, Bette's second. We can't wait to return! Hopefully, my video editing skills will improve by then. What sometimes seems like an eternity when editing becomes a flash when you are actually watching the video. I am currently working on Part 9 of the Ireland trip...Cliffs of Moher, Burren, etc. One of the issues is the total number of photo's we took! The curse of digital photography...too, many images to choose from. Hope all is well your way. Our best to both of you!

One of the great things about travel is the excitement and satisfaction derived years after when just seeing an image brings you back to that place!

Thank you! I am brand new to putting together a RUclips video and didn't have any sort of a production in mind while filming. Consequently, I would do things a bit differently next time. Tallinn is simply beautiful. You will no doubt enjoy your visit. The city is clean and the locals friendly. Lots of good places to eat and tp visit. Easy to sightsee on foot.
