Quick question, which season got almost all mods working?? Seems one in 2022, which one is it?
Any of the mid to late 2022 versions should work. You can check some of the mod's patch notes to see when they were released, and that should give a good sense of what versions should work.
I'm very confused on how to do the grenade jump, and the placement, you can see the ledge better when crouching but is the objective to keep the grenade on that little ledge? I'm following the movement instructions when I throw it but i'm not sure what you mean by right side or what landmark I should be trying to get to when I jump and I can't get any real height out of the grenade jump.
I agree, it's not explained very well unfortunately.
Sorry, video is a bit dated as we have more knowledge on the trick now, and the video is also missing an input viewer. To answer your question, yes, the objective is to get the grenade stuck in the right corner of that ledge. In order to get the correct height, you have to jump the same frame that the grenade explodes. For the direction, I was holding back (S) the same time as I was jumping. This prevents a vertical jump (which doesnt work) and forces the grenade explosion to push the player model at a 45 degree angle towards the movement direction. We (speedrunners) choose to do straight backwards while looking at the angle in the video for convenience. To make it in the hole in the ceiling, I bounced off an invisible wall while moving through the hole to remain out of bounds. For those who expereince XAudio2_redist.dll was not found. -Go to Windows/System32 -Copy XAudio2_9.dll -Paste it in the MCC>Binaries>Win64 directory -Change the copy name to XAudio2_9Redist.dll -Problem solved

I don't get how at 0:59 you don't get booped to the left by the wall or how you get that much height to reach the ceiling. Even waiting til the last second to jump and trying the same crouch jump I can't get it to work for me at all.
This trick is very hard. Essentially you are offsetting chief's hitbox in a way that allows for your head to stick through the ceiling, and the second crouch I do fixed that. When the geometry collides, it pushes you upwards through the ceiling.
Is the process the same if I want to downgrade from the most recent update to the game? I ask because the latest update to the game made a majority of the mods I subscribed via workshop unplayable. I'm not really looking to downgrade from season 8.
Yes, works with all seasons and releases of mcc, you will just need to refer to the mcc update release date for the version that works with the mods.
