The culvert pipe needs cleaning out
We try to keep it clear, but there are a few blockages further up the road. With big rain, it can get washed down to us and we clear it. Most of this water is runoff from the mountain that gets blocked up by beavers. And where the water comes out is going away from the pipe.
Is that path further back the one I dig the one day? If so that’s awesome it worked!!!
The one back to the second dam or the one that refills off to the side? I think you dug both, but they both drain well and are still there.
@@heysuz701 I’m just glad my efforts weren’t in futility 😆 I had wondered later if it would just fill with mud and be pointless. It’s looking good over there!

Its shocking how much water those little beaves can control lol! We need to rehome them here so they can start damming up my mountain run offs for me 😂 maybe I should leave them a note requesting a meeting!! Like "Look Beaves, Suz doesn't need ya'll, you are just making her life more difficult... but boy do I have an offer for you, just head me out!" lol ! Your property is so beautiful though! It was nice before but now that spring has sprung its so pretty and so peaceful!!! And - you're welcome! We love hanging with yall! I just can't wait until we have less on our plate so we can do that more... grill and chill or weed gardens and chill lol

Aw, you didnt show the busting of the dam. Thats the primary reason I watch these videos.
No tripod to put the camera on yet. And not really a good place to put a tripod if I had one. But it would be a great video, it’s fun to watch the water start flowing.
Do you think the beavers have trail cams and they watch them to see who keeps breaking apart their hard work 😂 like they all gather around mad watching the videos and gasping lol! I just played that whole thing out from the beavers perspective in my head lol it was pretty comical
LOL! I suspect they have a lookout in the brush pile and just wait until im gone. They are putting bigger and bigger logs in there now.

Oh wow it’s looking great!!!! I’m hoping we get a lull so we can come dig some of that silt out of the flows path. I think it will run better with big rain if we get the silt out. You can use in your gardens and if you have enough we’ll mix some in to ours too.
I was thinking of trying to dig a few shovel fulls out at the opening just to keep it running, but with the rain coming I figured it would just fill in again. We do need to go get some of that silt out to put both our gardens though!!

@@heysuz701 thank you! 🥰 Oven meals is a good idea! Apparently we are bringing all the chickens inside for the cold snap 😆 we can’t risk our babes! I think Septavia would be fine but we worry about Miriam as she doesn’t have the normal feathers and the bantams as they are small. So might as well just bring em all in lol! 😂

Brought home the camera, nothing showing but me turning it on and sun hitting the water yesterday afternoon. I will take it back out tomorrow or Wednesday depending on weather. And if I find the rain gauge I will take it too.

I’m really interested in knowing where all that water is coming from. I bet those beve-holes have dammed up the creek or something and it’s now re-routing there. Our run off ran dry a while ago is why I mention that. Yours seems to be replenishing.
There is probably a couple acres with water on it back there…best guess since I can only see so far.
Maybe we could spray some vinegar around? I have some cayenne peppers i grew and dried. we could steap them and you could spray it all around lol just a thought!
Do you have electricity out there? I have some cameras we can stage up. they are "indoor" but I wouldn't be concerned if it got ruined. I don't think we have rain coming either. He is super busy so I would gather wed only need one night of recording lol. Let me know if you want me to drop them off ❤
We have a game camera coming so we can see what all is out there. No electricity out there to use. But thanks for the offer!
