Can't focus 😂 because ur hair made u look hotter ❤
To many hills that makes you walk sideways, no level ground other than being trapped in a 6 M property. I also believe that the most recent fires in Malibu, Ca. and Pennsylvania burning at the same time is sign of arson ever year at the same time is called arson. Nice video well done.
One of my favorite neighborhoods in all of LA! I could care less about the parking, there is something called uber! The west part is better than east though because you’re further out from the dangerous hollywood drivers.
Thanks for the insight! I’m moving from NYC to LA in April - I couldn’t be more excited for this change.
You are so welcome. It's a great city - you have every reason to be excited.
Hey Hey, West Hollywood is where the west side starts cmonnnn
I don't know why I like watching these so much. I'd never plan on living in this part of LA, but I live West Hollywood and visit the rustic trails often. It's just such a cool neighborhood with a magic feeling. I wish it was more connected to LA by public transportation, but I guess you can take double-decker bus tours of the hills for a small price!
I would avoid buying in Los Angeles and buy in Los Angeles County lots of homeless in Los Angeles especially the west side wait till that Metro light rail fully opens up Beverly Hills in Bel Air starting to show
Very informative!!!
Glad you liked it
Hi Tony, great video. We moved to Westlake Village about 8 years ago, after a year in Woodland Hills, and love it out here! Some notes: it is definitely cooler here than in Woodland Hills, but of course nothing like what you would encounter along the coast. Woodland Hills was brutal! Regarding airports, besides Burbank, there is also Santa Barbara. Longer distance but much easier drive, and it takes like 10 minutes from parking to being at the gate. About traffic, it can get really backed up heading up to Calabasas in the afternoons. All those commuters taking PCH to Las Virgenes.
Thanks for your comments! It hadn't occurred to me to include Santa Barbara Airport. I once had my parents fly into SBA so we could spend a few days in Santa Barbara County doing a wine tour before driving back to LA. I could see that option working pretty well depending on the time of day/traffic situation.

I appreciate the time and effort that you have placed in these videos. Thanks for taking the time to explain the various communities, commute times, median price of homes and availability of shopping and entertainment.
Glad it was helpful!
❤🎉
Why wouldn't;t you include all of 90068 in your definition of Hollywood Hills? Your Map missed section of this.
The goat @ explaining things through geography and visuals.
Thank you!
Everything that you said was the Eastside of La....is not the East side of LA. Eastside is everything East of the La River... Boyle Heights Lincoln Heights and East La
No doubt, East Los Angeles begins downtown, historically at Olivera Street, dating back to the 1800s. I'm referring to the Eastside, which has alway been up for interpretation.
Tough to live in LA. I worked at Fox, century city and the only apartment that was acceptable was way out at Playa del Rey, but it was so nice to be by the ocean when I got off work. Evenings after work could take 1 hour easily.
Excellent field guide. This is a treasure trove of information. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Tony, Thanks for this discussion, LA and its local environs makes much more sense to me after viewing this video. Great job, enjoyed your "chalk talk". I do have a question, and it relates to air quality. Most of the air quality maps that I have seen and not very "granular". Instead, they give a zipcode based map and that is misleading. One zipcode could be closer to ocean, extend up and over the mountains and extend substantially inland. Are there any that give a more nuanced breakdown of air quality. Thanks in advance and, again, great job!
Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the kind words! Regarding air quality, I bookmark a website that I visit quite often that has map pins instead of zip codes. You'll find it much more useful in terms of granularity. Search for "iqair los angeles" then click on the map view.
Palisades Highlands should be its own neighbourhood, it's almost disconnected with the rest of Pacific Palisades and has its own micro-climate,

Did he just say a little more juice in Brentwood? rofl
Gold star for you! I threw that one in to see who was paying attention - glad you got the reference!
@@Tony.Mariotti Yes! Record scratch. How much do you know about the history of Pacific Palisades? One of the first houses ever built there was a showcase home, with automatic dishwasher, garage door etc. All the amenities of a modern lifestyle. It's called the Villa Aurora.
I'm a bit of a history buff writ large and drill into a lot of local history (along with architecturally significant homes). I didn't know about Villa Aurora. Thanks for pointing it out. For 1928, those amenities are pretty impressive!
@@Tony.Mariotti You should do a show on all of the Marxist political salons of Pacific Palisades. They infiltrated Hollywood with the film noir and horror genres meant to demoralize America. Very few, even guides of Pacific Palisades, know of this very important history.
I'm living my dream in my dream home in Pacific Palisades CA🎉
EXCELLENT videos. I live in Playa Vista I new community near Marina del Rey. You should do a video over here. I’ve lived here before it was called. Playa Vista and I think I might be the one of the first people living here when it was just all wetlands and three apartment buildings of course now I own a condo. We have Loyola Miramount University, the Lmu sign on the hill and a very lovely community.. I also have a real estate license but haven’t really been using it. I am about to retire after working 35 years for a undisclosed agency.😮 I will start back doing real estate soon. I will definitely send you some referrals if I get any. Do a video on Playa Vista.
Thanks for the kind words! I remember driving through Playa Vista to an undisclosed advertising agency in the early 2000s when I worked in digital media. The transformation since then has been pretty wild. More Westside neighborhoods are definitely in my production queue!

nice one tony :)
Thanks 👍
You can like it but you can't move here!!! Seriously don't move here..
First of all great content. A tip to improve video quality. Include timestamps for different parts of the video. Embed them into to video itself if possible.
Thanks for the tips.

Hi tony I like vlogs
Any earthquakes, or mudslides??
Does property tax pay for services like waste collection and general maintenance of the area?
Thanks for the question. Property taxes pay mostly for public safety (city police, fire department), infrastructure (road cleaning and repair, sewers), public schools, as well as the county government (sheriff and county fire departments). Waste fees as separate. General maintenance happens in neighborhoods or on condominium properties via HOA fees. Most neighborhoods do not have HOAs, but 100% of condo building do.
Streets are latín America 😢
What about Koreatown? I like the videos, keep it up
Thanks for the encouragement! Koreatown is definitely on my radar to make a video. Not sure when, though.
Excellent
Thank you.
Id never live in Hollywood anything much less even in California... too many taxes and problems...
A number of the areas in the HH just weren't meant to be built on...and that become really obvious when LA has its yearly rain downpour. I also heard something about the plumbing (pipes) in the hills being quite ancient; water pressure was an issue.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your insights!
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
You forgot to mention Century Park and the annanberg space for photogrophy. There is usually a summer concert series at century park held in conjunction with KCRW.
Thanks for watching and your thoughtful comment. It's really unfortunate, but the Annenberg Space for Photography closed during the pandemic and then they announced (in June 2020) that it will not re-open.
Keep defunding and the prices will get super cheap…
Very informative video. Thanks for taking the time.
