New Year hike and meeting the temple cat
Просмотров 557 часов назад
A New Year's Day walk to the Anagami Temple, and, at around 15:00 mark, encountering the little (but very capable) cat that lives on top of the trail there. This is the type of a cat that is sometimes found around the hiking trails in Southeast Asia, neither stray, nor domesticated, they're often somewhat (selectively) sociable and often don't display feral traits. Despite being very small size...

Is Phayao 150 KM East of Chiang Mai? Is it cooler than Chiang Mai?
1) On a straightline, maybe yes. But it felt further away, due to the mountain conditions. I wouldn't risk regular driving. 2) It certainly felt cooler than CNX, and cooler than Chiang Rai, possibly thanks to the lake. However, this is December, so I'd imagine May, June still gets pretty hot.
good stuff man, nice seeing stuff from the eyes of an normal person
I appreciate your comment, Sir.
@@LeftTenant 1. You should make a list of best things to do (or you liked) in Chiang Mai. 2. ALso, do you plan to visit Koh Samui (I was there two years ago on honeymoon, loved it)
Actually after watching the video I appreciate you going there by bicycle other than the motorbike , is there any other shops to work here instead of Starbucks
This new Starbucks is adjacent to the main food court where they have both indoor and outdoor seating areas and a couple of coffee stands inside the court. Most CMU students sit there, as the Sbux is too expensive for them. There are a couple more standalone coffee shops around the campus, but they close earlier. I am told the Starbucks is open till 8pm every day. The food court closes at 6pm if I remember correctly.
@LeftTenant that's good, the best thing is that they are opening at 7 a.m so maybe it's worth a visit
@@RabieLania CMU campus is well worth a visit if only for the reservoir.

The best place in CNX
Thank you for the comment!
I just ordered this pack. I think overall in its size category gor $116, its hard to beat.
Thanks for leaving the comment. It will last some years, hopefully. I got mine in November 2021 and it's still going strong, as my main office commuting and travel pack (but usually not a day pack when out and about, it's a bit too bulky for that). The only issue I have noted so far was the wear/abrasion on the bottom edges, that's it.
@ thats really good information. I took advantage of the black Friday sale and also picked up the LV 8 and LV6. I will attach the 6 to the LV 18 and use the LV 8 for a daily. I have been using the Moab 6 for a few years. I like its size but it’s the most uncomfortable bag in the world. Also, I don’t like how much it stands out. I like to travel light so I figured the LV18 will be well suited for my air travel as well
Outstanding Last Day
Thanks for the support, Drew, much appreciated!
How much might all night boom boom be?? Any recommendation on budget hotels within walking distance?? Thanks in advance. Absolutely Outstanding From Start To Finish // Absolutely Loved Every Minute
Thank you for the comment. Not sure about the rates. I have a hunch it's in the 20,000-30,000 JPY range (150-200 USD). As for the hotels, almost anything in the Odori and Susukino areas is within the walking range, the rates change greatly depending on the season, I felt that July-August was the high season, and 2024 felt a lot more expensive than in 2023. Rates dip closer to November, early December, then spike again briefly for the Christmas season, and then dip again, till the Golden Week... Mid-range hotels in Odori / Susukino to recommend: Coco Hotel (former Fino Odori), Hotel Smile Susukino - both are standard small rooms but very well equipped. Also Classe Stay Susukino (suite style, with kitchen), The most affordable budget range hotel I found in September was Swanky Hotel Otomo. Hope this helps.
That is absolutely outstanding. Thank you so very much
Nice :D

Do you know of a company that do monthly rentals? I want to spend the summer there like June, July, August. I appreciate your recommendation. I would like to stay close to Sapporo Station.
Most rental shops offer this service. However, monthly rentals would be furnished apartments, and they'll be a lot more expensive than the long-term contracts posted outside the shops. They often come with everything included, down to bedding and cutlery (sometimes even have daily cleaning service). The monthly quotes I got from APAMAN were pretty close to staying in a budget hotel, without the kitchen. So I opted to stay in a hotel for this trip.
@@LeftTenant I see. What hotel did you stay at? I’m looking for a budget one also.
@@heythave Look at Hotel Smile Susukino - basic but very good. If you need kitchen, look at Hotel Classe Stay - it has kitchens in rooms, but more expensive. Rates fluctuate a lot seasonally, and unfortunately July August is kind of high season.
Correction: tsubo is not 3.3 m2 - that's the Taiwanese ping. Tsubo is half that.
