Good video! But i look the MC-12 coaches in the older fashion paint scheme on the earlier coaches and that paint scheme is rough. D-Series are trash and not reliable. This coach has a B500 Allison transmission gear.

I would retrofit a 8V71N Detroit Diesel engine with any HT series Allison Transmission bring back the silver and do 70’s throwback with round headlights and taillights like a Greyhound Trailways or any bus companies from the past if i have a driver’s license And CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement and money but I can only dream

These things leaned like hell. I remember in 1998 as a kid when the series 50 12's were basically brand new and we we pulled out of Atlanta terminal. Every turn had me thinking the bus would flip.

The depot is either Coach USA Buffalo, NY or Elizabeth, NJ where it can operate NYC to Toronto or Philly to Toronto, ON via Lehigh Tunnel Runs. Even the Double Deckers DD series have the same Astronic Transmissions too.

D4505 1268 ZF Transmission it actually originated from New York City Port Authority Bus Terminal lower level to Toronto Ontario via Newark,NJ-Scranton, PA Syracuse Binghamton & Buffalo, NY🇺🇸 Fort Erie, ON🇨🇦. Oddly some Greyhound Canada buses with trailers are also seen Port Authority Bus Terminal lower level primarily operating New York to Toronto,ON🇨🇦 or New York Montreal, PQ🇨🇦.

Boy time to retire this old white delivery model MC12. She is well passed her day for service. I'm surprise Canada still had this model in service. Canada take care of their bus coaches much better than American Greyhound maintenance do.

Now I know what to play as my boarding music!!!

Current TNY driver here. This bus is powered by a Series 60 and Allison. She's still going strong, drove her to Long Island and back last week!

Did you have to transfer at all or is this a direct bus?

Long-time employee of TNY told me this coach is a 2003 MCI J4500 and has a Caterpillar C12 12L 410hp coupled to a ZF AS Tronic "auto-shift manual". Seating is National 4210S. Now retired and sold.

I don't understand why megabus go through Albany, instead of going straight to Syracuse.

This actually sounds like it's got a Cat C13. Just like the D4505 I used to drive. These things git up and go. Good hillclimbers too.

I've ridden on sooooo many of those Greyhound D4505 busses. Countless hours travelling on those. Somehow always gets me where I want to go.
