    Thinking about it in terms of glue thickness was just the idea I needed. I've been struggling with bleed-through/poor adherence on some mahogany veneer for some time. My method for achieving consistent glue volume differs a lot from yours, but the idea is the same :) Thanks for the idea.

    Ehhhh....that will break again. You should have replaced the bottom wood with 1 inch wood......then, it wouldn't break. The paint you could homedepot color match it........not a big deal.

    hello, koka-bora Creations, first of all, great video, it was very clear and help me figure out some cloudy things i had not completly understood. I'm currently working on a way to make the snapmaker A350 turn in a loop for demosntration( with the laser cutting module and with the laser off) do you know if it's possible to make a loop in G-code or even better directly with the snapmaker Luban software. Hope you can still view the comment on old video !

    • @KokaBoraCreations
      @KokaBoraCreations 2 года назад

      Hi Ulysse, are you able to give me more details about the loop? Something along the lines of how long the loop should last? Do you want a specific range of motions?

    • @ulyssedevincre6381
      @ulyssedevincre6381 2 года назад

      @@KokaBoraCreations thank you for the answer ! The loop i am trying to make is an equivalent of a for or while. The goal is just to repeat a certain action for a demonstration of the machine. I am currently just writing the same path over and over with a pause in between but I was just wondering if, rather than rewriting the same action I could make an equivalent of a “for” or a “while” in g-code.

    Hello Sir, is it possible to show how to machine a new MDF 16mm wasteboard? Thank you! I want to replace the original from one more rigid and personalize it with my name - you can do a video DIY for one of 16mm thickness and then personalize it with your channel name "Koka-Bora Creations". Thank you so much! If you can share the cnc file would be much appreciated! Thank you

    I basically use the same method. I try to avoid large blobs though, as they tend to still be liquid inside, and there's a high risk of that liquid glue to ooze out when trying to remove it. If you have large blobs, you used too much glue. ;) The glue should have a rubber-like consistency all the way through. If done right, you should be able to start at one end and basically peel the glue off like a piece of tape, lifting the squeeze-out by just sliding the chisel/scraper underneath. And yes, if you wait too long, the glue hardens and becomes very hard to remove without risking to cut into the wood itself. Also, the chisel shouldnt be too sharp. If it is, you risk it digging in to the wood. Funny story: When making the table top for my assembly table (40mm wide strips of plywood laminated together on end for a total width of 84cm), I used an old chisel I got from my father when he moved from his house (that he build himself) to an appartment to scrape off the squeeze-out. I didn't think much of it, until I watched one of James Hamilton's (Stumpy Nubs) videos on chisels. It turned out to be a Marples Blue Chip, one of the original ones from Sheffield, not one of the new Chinese Irwin ones. XD No wonder the Irwin Marples I bought looked so familiar. They share the overall design and shape, but doesn't have the white ring at the base of the handle.

    • @KokaBoraCreations
      @KokaBoraCreations 2 года назад

      yes, I have the tendency to use a tad bit more glue and I put glue on both mating surfaces so that's probably why I have bigger blobs. I also try to "burst" the blobs first to get the majority of the liquid glue out and collected (impossible sometimes in inside drawer corenrs where it creates more mess than it should). That's a interesting story - you may be having a treasure in your hands with that original piece 🙂
