Saltare is a band out of Boston that loves playing different types of dance music from around the world. Originally classmates at the New England Conservatory of Music, they met in the Contemporary Musical Art's Middle Eastern Ensemble. Afterwards, they were the department's Honors Ensemble where they focused on playing original compositions that drew from their various backgrounds, and arrangements of a diverse set of world traditions. They explore genres like American Old-Time, Irish traditional, European Classical, Jewish traditional, and Romanian traditional music, and focusing on a multi-faceted approach to groove and movement.

Inochi No Namae - Joe Hisaishi/Saltaré
Inochi No Namae, written by Joe Hisaishi, is a stunning theme from the Miyazaki movie "Spirited Away". Arranged by pianist, Avi Randall, this version gives it a Latin spin, and balances groove with the timeless melodies of an iconic animated movie.
Saltaré's debut album, "Modes", is set to release on January 17th. It will be available first on Bandcamp, and then on all streaming services.
