This video is one of the interesting games I played at Chess Base India's 2nd annual Open Rapid tournament. My final score was 4/9, but I played against Neev was the highlight of the tournament for me

There is pain in Hikaru's voice even though he is trying to show compusure.
This is the most competitive age of chess, any of these players would be world chess champions in any other time period. Most of them (the older players) will be replaced by a newer generation in 5-10 years which is heart wrenching.
Other player - 🥹😭🙃🫠 Hikaru - 😑
Meanwhile Nijat: I was not mentioned because I complained about Alireza's shoes.
Nah, he's cool but I did not find any specific moment where he lost so I could not add him
We got so much of emotional content from this candidates , its just so awesome
2024 Nakamura and INTERNET CHEATS like him are "HAS BEENS"!!
Nakamura and CHEATS like him are "HAS BEENS"!!
Ian's "I'm - I'm very sorry" always gets me because it really feels genuine. He would never let another player win on purpose but he knew how close Fabi was to winning yet failed to convert under time pressure. At the same time Ian was probably devastaded himself, leading the tournement just to give it all away in the last few rounds.
Will of D
Fabi & Hikaru played miserably especially in last games considering they are Elite players.
Vidit vai 😭😭
Vidit ko dekhke toh bas rona hi aata ab bhai
I don't know whether to be happy or sad seeing fabi ang hikaru just breaked my heart and Ian man , that day was too god damn tough , even my country person won , but still , i was not happy at all . Chess is definitely brutual ....
well said
Gukesh broke so many hearts he better make it count
This sport/art/science is brutal. These guys are so unbelievably good. They are all heroes of the game. We salute you.
Hikaru realising its close to the end of his era, after all this time. the young folks like Gukesh will only get better. he didn’t manage to beat them now, it will be even more difficult in the future. Gukesh is only 17 yesrs old after all.
It's not over for him. He fought very well for this time, but he will try once again. I don't think it's impossible for him to still be a world champion.
@@paragv0 Yeah not saying it's impossible either. But probably something along those lines probably went through his head. Thats why he told those flashback stories.
@@paragv0 Nakamura and CHEATS like him are "HAS BEENS"!!
@@user-eu3hz3dw5b is that you Kramnik?
Very good compilation 👍 I've never heard the chess pieces and the other elements on the table so clear, almost delightful to the ears. I wonder if you can consider to make a video with the resumes of Vaishali's plays. Thanks.
I have made a compilation of all results of the games that vaishali played. Maybe that will interest you. Also thanks for the suggestion
@@paragv0 Thank you. Could you please share the id of the playlist? - I didn't see any other video related to Vaishali in your uploaded videos.
I don't understand why nepo apologized to fabi?
Had either have won it they would be on lead(win/tie breakers) He apologized for both not getting himself the win nor letting fabi win
Hikaru should have gone out all guns blazing against gukesh... Either win or lose... oh men we truly need a Fischer like warrior in crucial moments like this.
Hikaru did play incredible fighting chess, but he stopped doing exactly that in the last round. I think he expected Fabi to convert his chances so he didn't take chances against Gukesh. Because if he had lost, Fabi would never qualify
There is no "gone all out" in chess at that level. The only thing you can do to win is to take advantage of the opponents mistakes. If there is no mistake by your opponent, you are not going to win. Chess at this level is opportunistic, if there is no opportunity, no one can do anything.
Ian fabi draw has to be the saddest draw I've ever seenm😢
where's Abasov ? 🤣
He's definitely top 8, but I couldn't find a moment where his chances seemed instantly become 0. He never was competing for 1st place
@@paragv0 the tournament was really sad for him, but for a 2630 d'élo it's already an honor to take part. besides, it's a tournament where only first place counts, so he's got nothing to be ashamed of.
Wow! A huge shoutout to you for what you just did. Incredible compilation & amazingly put in the end. Often in the limelight of Open section in chess, Women section gets ignored & is not given the due attention, which must be given. Even more so in the case of Rameshbabu siblings where Pragg steals the show most of the times, leaving Vaishali with not much credit given. Ah, this is so painful. This must not happen in any sport, more so in our favourite sport CHESS! Thanks for sharing this & encouraging the folks around in your own way. PS : I have talked about this injustice many a times with my friends, hence I could connect with you so easily on this topic. ❤️🙏
I like Vidit. He was so upset when he thought he might have caused his good friend Gukesh to miss out
in that case, he already did his part by beating Hikaru twice
@kaivalyashah I think you should use words carefully they are not losers they are fighters because they reach here with their immense hard work and looser doesn't justify their hard work
Hikaru and Nepo fell short by agonizingly small margins, but Caruana at some point was there, in the playoff with Gukesh, and then fell off the boat that he had already captured
Amazing video. It really changes the way we view life in general.
Hilkaru no hikachu
Its like history wont remember that Abasov was there!
Abasov getting to the candidates was great. His return to it will be monumental.
💔🥺
I and none of the main channels followed her after the 2nd round's first match loss...she was declared out...and bam !
A big round of applause for these people who are undoubtedly one of the greatest chess players of all times 🫡🫡🫡
Chess is Brutal😢
And it was an anazing tournament. They were all great.
Huge respect for all these guys…
Great compilation!
Amazing video!!!!
Thanks!!
Winners stand on the mountains created by losers . A winner might be the final one to hoist the flag at the peak but he stands on the path created by those who sacrificed everything just like the winner but couldn't get there .
Very well said 🗿✔️
Abasov was out b4 tourney started
Qualifying was an achievement, hope he gets qualified for the next one too
Bro this is insane. After watching the thumbnail, i was like what the hell?
fabiano offering a draw was so sad :(
In all other sports during world cups, the defending champion also plays through all the rounds / stages and gets to the finals. Strange how chess is, the champion is just chilling somewhere while the others fight their hearts out.
Its kind of the same with boxing I suppose.

Hikaru says he doesnt care, last time he cried was a few days ago. Magnus says he cares, last time he cried was 10 years ago. OK....
Wait, what happened to Magnus 10 years ago?
@@JustSiberia Magnus in the lie detector video said the last time he cried over losing at chess was 10 years ago.
Everyone is champion ❤❤
Fabi is very polite for an American.
That’s cause he is actually Italian 😂
@@carlkligerman1981 That makes sense
His real name is Fabiano Luigi caruna he is Italiano
Maybe it's because of his sexuality
@@thegorn what about his sexual His reaction during interview with Taniya makes him straight dude
there is always one winner but those who are left behind are also warriors, its not just about chess.
The game was already drawn before Hikaru took the bishop because of insufficient material for a checkmate. The final move should not count.
Good observation. You should tell them at FIDE 😂
technically black could blunder the bishop, which is winning for white
There's very little point interfering at that point. Doesn't change anything and messes with the players for no real reason.
International rules are different from American rules. It was not insufficient material.
