During a fishing trip off the west end of Rotto, we encountered several whales who spent around 30 minutes circling our boat, surfacing metres away from us and at times diving under our boat. It was a perfect end to a good day on the water.

The boys took hooked on two big rays, both snapped off their lines at within close distance of the beach. Both rays estimated to have been around 2 metres wide.

Fun Day from earlier this year on a good sized day, the day before was apparently double the size. I think I just caught dyslexia watching this..
Big wonky chandeliers onto brown sharp plateaus of concrete. Huge whites everywhere and lots of other big sharks. Put a mask on and just hang round the takeoff after heaps of tows. You will see at least one big sharks within 50 MTRS. Been there 3 times swell direction is good 1 day a year. Chickens reef pumps at 3mtrs low seconds it's heaps like Blackrock.. Huge ocean mission from mainland for a sketchy low quality but sandgropers r hard lads

This is why tow boards have footstraps and weights onboard. Momentum and freefall enhancements. Both of which would have made this wave to the channel.
Well if you mean exactly from where he was, no he definitely wouldn't have made it haha, if he was a bit earlier and faster ofcourse he would have made it. You're not gonna make the drop he made just with a tow board

Hey mate, was start of last year so in the middle of summer. Hit up the bridge at dusk. Had a bunch lines out with whole mulies and mullet slabs. Just casting towards the markers where it's a bit deeper and then you wait!
