incredible work, indeed
Love your blogs and badgers I watch them I check setts to see how they are doing ie if setts I know are being used I live north east I have seen a change setts that were really large are dead ! Dunno if its with so many people walking all over now with dogs kids have pushed them away ? Just these setts were always well run kicked out mounds were huge holes are full of leaves just dead to many townies in countryside now I belive know nothing about countryside way it is these days (
Incredible work. I think you could absolutely use the Z6 III for professional use!
Lovely images, shame the commentary is missing
Great work! Congratulations to this amazing photo!
the video has lost voice sound. only music
What a level of image quality, outstanding 👌
Impressive photos and video and helped me confirm that this camera is a good choice for me. I was a bit reluctant due to the 24 MP but this does not seem to be too big an issue.
Hope you enjoyed your time in South Africa, Cape Town Rachel😉 Stunning photographs!
You are lucky.
I love your photographs... You've a beautiful eye 👍
Great Video 👍
What is the point of this?
There’s something wrong with the Sound on this video. The dialogue uts out about 1:55 in and does’t return.
Fabulous Rachel. You have that Magic that is difficult to learn. I really like your composition too. And Yes! I have subscribed. From the upsidedown side of our plannet, ... Australia. .....🐨
Rachel, thank you for this video on the Z6iii I'm trading in my 21mp Nikon D500 and although crop sensor has been use successfully as a pro camera. I think for me 24mp will be a great second camera to my Z8 and also the use of Z lenses. I think if you go back to 'film' the expertise came from the photographer and darkroom not the camera so really any camera can be professional it depend on the eye behind the lens... Thank you for your summing up of this camera ...
Great video Rachel loved all the photos and what a location the review was very good 😊
"Human prompt", love that! I was a little bothered by the fact that you said the Z6III was for an 'amateur' photographer, I have to strongly disagree. My body would hate me lugging around a Z9 all day. I cannot wait until I can get my hands on this camera!
The MP count does make it an amateur camera in my opinion. As an example, I’m heading on an assignment tomorrow where the deliverables are 35mp images and above. I couldn’t do my job with the Z6 III, hence my opinion of it being a camera for amateurs rather than professionals. Hope that helps, as always, it’s my opinion and you’re free to make your own decisions 🙂
@@RachelBigsby I understand, however there are many working professionals out there that 24MP is more than adequate in most cases. Would I have liked a bit of an MP bump in the Z6III sure, but it's not the most important factor. Thanks for the response. :)
@@RachelBigsby asking for MPs for a job is pretty rare even for professional jobs.
She’s right and beautiful leave her alone
Human prompt is a cool idea. Any word from Nikon on building content authentication into their cameras?
It’s a great idea, isn’t it! I’m afraid I don’t have any information to share about that 😊
Who counted the birds?
The rangers of the reserve :-) There is extensive conservation work that takes place here, monitoring from a tower hide how many juvenile gannets are predated by seals when trying to fledge the colony. They need an accurate census to enable them to determine the population growth or decline, enabling them to take action. It happens across the world, and I myself used to assist with Razorbills. Hope this helps :-)
@@RachelBigsby Wondering how one can count thousands of birds that are not stationary, constantly moving around, & all look the same...any ideas?
Delightful video, and a great choice of music. The gannet shots were beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it - thank you ☺️
I wear a baseball cap or some hat (kind of like a cowboy without the side curl) when shooting in brighter days. Great location for a sea of birds.
Me too 🥵
I am sorry mann, I just wanted to be funny 😢
bro😅
Brought a tear to my eye, seeing those beautiful images of my old home-country. Very nice review and feedback, thanx Rachie. Enjoyed watching this one. Excellent camera, happy Nikon can fill that mid-tier gap without a sacrifice in quality and features. Greetings from Down Under.
Excellent video and brilliant photos Rachel 👏📸big fan of your photography 😊what an amazing camera 📷👍
I think people get hung up on big MP, I've shot images for motorcycle magazines for 17 year and some double page spreads were only done with 8MP back in the day. So I'd be more than happy with 24mp, although doing wildlife it's nice to have that large MP for cropping.
Congrats!
I loved the shadow pic. I haven't seen one like that. Great review
Thank you 🤗
where does the z6iii struggle in focus compared to the Z9?
It’s hard to say, as there is no major difference - it’s not “technically” as good as the Z9 in my eyes simply because of the subject detection lacking bird detect as a stand alone feature but the Z6 III certainly didn’t struggle at any point. There wasn’t a single moment that I found it difficult or worse. I’d still give it 9/10
@@RachelBigsby Would love to know how it does with Eye AF with moving subjects. In the past front or back focusing was common.
In theory, the Z9 with its fully stacked sensor, will have better Af tracking vs the partially stacked sensor in the Z6iii, but bearing in mind the same processor used on both, most likely also the same algorithms used, as well as AF modes/aids, I would be surprised if there is a big performance delta wrt AF in practice. Even between my Z9 and Zf, it’s not that easy to differentiate, and the Zf only sports a BSI sensor.
z9 has more af points, faster readout which can help some.
Brilliant video and review. What a stunning location 👌
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching!
Wonderful video Rachel ! Love watching your genuine excitement and enthusiasm when in you’re element!! The use of the penguin shadow to maintain the texture of the foreground was genius !!! Best Art 😍
Oh thank you! You’re always so kind and supportive. Lots of love. X
splendid images ! You seem to have had a blast 🙂
Thank you! 😃
How about doing a human prompt competition on Instagram with Nikon allowing your followers to interpret a prompt with some wildlife photographic prizes from Nikon? Would be a good way to create some interaction with the brand 😊
That’s a great suggestion. Thank you! There’s a very similar idea coming from Nikon soon! ☺️
I'm sure it's a good camera but as a wildlife photographer I'm disappointed with jpeg only pre capture.
Even Lumix s5ii can shoot precaptur Raw
@@romainplagnol882 So can my OM-1 Mark II, I also have a Z8 but I am considering Canon at this point.
@@HotGates clearly Nikon is behind in yerms of precaptur. Idk why they keep in in jpeg, if it's a technical limitation or something else. But if you're a pro wildlife photographer I understand you can be frustrated. I feel disapppointed it does not have a dedicated bird AF mode for the moment.. maybe a firmware update?
@@romainplagnol882 From what I heard is bird detect is implemented inside animal detect. Now with pre capture oh well it is what it is and there's nothing we can do, Why Nikon gives jpeg features only is not good but oh well, I'm actually thinking of moving over to Canon.
@@HotGates Just move already
I've got to ask. How on earth do you afford the equipment, that camera and lens combo is soo expensive.
Hello, I'm a Nikon Creator :-)
Fantastic video Rachel your filming and photography is amazing so nice to see 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Very Impressed with this Video! I've been a Professional Extreme Sports Photographer and Filmmaker for 38 Years in Hawaii and to me this Video Intro rivals what the BBC Does in Every Aspect! The Shooting, Editing, Music, and Narration and the Seamless Flow of the Editing!! Well Done Rachel.
Wow - what a career! Thank you for finding the time to watch and comment 😃
Very enjoyable video and your images are amazing!!
Thank you so much 😀
Nice and so beautiful video. Thanks for sharing & big like
Thank you ☺️
What a magical video, but more importantly such an important message at the end 🖤🤍
Thank you so much ❤️
What a beautiful video with your words and images. I've just signed the petition, such a great cause and thank you for raising the issue.
Thank you so much! I’m very grateful.
Enjoyed that thank you. Stunningly beautiful images and presentation. Got me in tears at the end!....Signed x
Thank you so much for watching and supporting!
Where’s the logic in having laws protecting badgers and then still culling them annually? 🤦🏻♂️
We agree.. and the cost to the tax payer is in the millions per year.
Wow your kit is worth more than my car 😂 I'm still rocking the d700 from 2008! Beautiful images btw, I've been visiting a local sett recently and can see all the signs of activity but haven't manged to see them yet 😢 I will keep trying
Don’t give up, July and August are wonderful times to see badgers - fingers crossed for you!!
Photos look beautiful well done.
Thank you ☺️
What metering mode You use for baggers
I use matrix metering generally, as the light is quite changeable ☺️
Badgers in bluebells, a sure sign of Spring, and definitely worth a subscribe!
Thank you so much!! 👋
I have a 7d mark II Can you suggest a lens for wildlife photography ?
If you’re looking for one lens, I’d recommend something quite versatile. I don’t know exactly what Canon manufactures but perhaps a 100-400 is a good place to start. Ideally, upward of 400mm depending on the wildlife you want. Sigma make a decent 150-600 which is a nice beginner lens for your canon mount 😃
Lovely pictures of the badgers among the blue bells. I signed the petition, but, since I live in Florida, it will very likely be ignored. I pray the drive is successful, nonetheless.
Fingers crossed! Thank you so much for watching and supporting!
Fantastic video, and amazingly passionate support ❤
Thank you so much!
