Bardock was a low class saiyan, raditz level. But through his experience he kept getting stronger and was threatening to break the caste system frieza had in place. This almost made me shed a tear. Hearing the readings in English and the static of the image increasing more and more makes this emotional as hell - it's like the scouter is Bardock's final remaining ally in the face of utter annihilation, and is continuously sustaining damage just like he is on his final charge to Frieza's ship, but still pushes through to the end just like him.

If Akira Toriyama were around, I would have taken his words to heart. Do plenty and be healthy. It is a shame that the only seeming healthy and 'fair sayain' was killed the genocidal equivalent of your cold food storage! The detail of this is incredibly. The exact replication, the degrade of the signal and even the 'fuzzy' sound of 80s radio. It is amazing. Do more like this. I would want to do more like this too, write my own stuff with it! The transition to the static black and white was really nice and sad at the same time for multiple reasons. One is that Bardock's efforts were in vein as he couldn't save his planet and his people (including his wife), being the only one brave to face a strong dictator and just being forgotten as Goku never even knew Bardock or his actions. In fact nobody knew, the rest of the survivors besides Vegeta thought it was just a meteor and not knowing a brave warrior was trying to fight for them. He was too over his head not realizing how dangerous Frieza was till the very end where it cuts off

When you really think about it Bardock gained so much power so fast for a reason... the way I think about it, he was forced by Frieza to conquer and destroy, then the tyrant had his comrades, his only friends murdered along with himself. He barely survived and soaked in the blood and sweat of himself and his squad. He surpassed most of Frieza's army, it took quite a few Ginyu force level warriors just to hold him back, and it took Frieza himself to be taken down... DBZ Bardock would've been full of anger and hatred, Saiyan power stems from anger, and he had an incredible amount of anger, allowing him to surpass everyone, save for Frieza.
