@@Whamkeepit I moved over to a gaming laptop but I just can't run ASA on it very well, I didn't have any plans on returning to it really as most people moved on and its one of them games I need something to keep me going on it

There are M class parts I can use by unlocking them through console command and some pieces there are amazing for a newer build just ain't got round to it yet but looking forward to the new model I have in mind

Only so many structual pieces. I'm doing another one today with increased build limits, consider that the Mk1 thanks for the comment though I totally agreee she ugly lol!

I attempted the X-wing but it never came out looking right I just think the skiff platform is to big for the sleekness of an x-wing. And thank you but I don't play much anymore, waiting on Ark 2 to release.

I generally play it by eye, I have built so many of these I can normally slap a pillar dead center and work off it, the trick with rafts is to get on the raft and jump off place the pillar slightly to the left, I got my ways lol but ways of improving are always welcomed

And in that video, that's a lot of work,you can snap your foundations straight to the pillar which also lowers them significantly into the raft halfing the amount of time it takes to lower foundations to raft level

@@elfthecredited7602 Yes you can pillar then foundation lower right away, which I do on platform saddles, however by doing it this way you change the directional snap of the pillars, letting you go side to side, by so doing you can make a clean split down the middle, with a foundation on either side. The main reason why I started doing it this way is because before when I was doing it the normal way, which is place pillar and then foundation lower right from there, the foundations were resulting in being lowered a tad bit much where the bar on the raft that holds the mast was showing through the floor. this method leaves the foundations a tad bit higher so they cover that bar. So i use this method for rafts and motor boats, but if I am working on a platform saddle and I want to split evenly, I now just use a pillar first and then a triangle foundation, and use 2 more of those then attach foundations off that, creating a perfect line down the middle with a foundation on either side. If you want I can make a video showing you the difference, if you are not sure what I am talking about, just let me know. Anyway, just wanted to help ya out so you have an easier time placing your first foundations, instead of strafing around and guessing if you are placing it correctly.

@@elfthecredited7602 fuck yeah, I have some ideas honestly, maybe try the ship from the animated Disney movie treasure planet since that where they got hover sail from lol and maybe the papa dragon from Avatar(blue people) since there the exo mek that looks like the ones in the movie and there's a scene where they drop out of the papa dragon. I don't know its just really awesome what you build so keep on doing it can't wait to see what you build next.

@@generalgrizzly7914 the only issue with a flying ship is the skiffs limits, even with the edited file that let's me build bigger on them it only allows it for vertical builds and not horizontal, so unless I was to design something like the air ships from the monster hunter games, world specifically there is an air ship suspended vertically balloons... you've definitely gave me an idea lol

Hey, you have to have the expert setting correct, if you go check the tie fighter build I just uploaded it's in the description of that video 👌

Was only to show the base template of it, I dont have any recording equipment and this was done when mixer was on the go and I could just save my streams. Also dont have anything that allows me to edit videos, no pc so it is what is 🤷‍♂️

You have to edit nitrado settings

Official settings dont allow for these types of builds, sorry if you are on official, if you are running a nitrado server more than happy to explain how you go about changing the settings to allow it

Increase the platform out of bounds multiplier on your nitrado hosted server

We have a primitive plus server up currently, but then we have a 50 slot pvp survival server going up in a few days

I just found out that things place easier after you get the first foundation if you are in hover mode with the ship which requires you to be under 1000 weight.

Pretty much, i need to redo this video, also i learnt since doing this that the console isnt centered it is off slightly to the left. But hope it helped you build a nice ship

@@elfthecredited7602 Still fiddling with it. That might help :D I want it so I can make the people harrying people with wyverns and griffins run away from me. Plus it would be nice to not get lazered by every stack of turrets I dont see in time. Its going to be my corvette. Plus I have some fun ideas for base defense relying on it. I really should just make a quick battle skiff and then work on this but. This ship is all I want. I got a Sith Lord Esq base and parking spot all ready for it.

So, you only can go so far back, make sure the back foundations are as far back as possible, then place 2 ceiling tiles, then walls off the very back edge. Then place one ceiling tile between them that will be your limit, then using triangle pieces on the side bring it back into the ship

See, what makes me laugh is people think pvp instantly, its a concept, its built to replicate a spaceship, not to be used in pvp, it could be used in pvp of course it could but its not efficient is it... come on now, its clearly not going to be used in pvp it has miniguns... who uses miniguns in pvp 😂🤣

A B93 nope I play official I know this server this guy playing in is not official but still building on skiff should be better on official and not better on quetz. It’s sad they introduced a new helpful tool but to do to it what you want and can’t it’s frustrating asf

I tried building a nice official skiff all i could come up with was a tube basically its bull that the limit on platforms is a thing, so its not really possible to use the skiff on official for anything but transport, and your right trying about 4 - 5 sifferent builds on official settings was frustrating, but i felt better when i blew it up with c4 😉

Of course sorry just getting back to you now, youve maybe figured it out by now but; you need to increase the platform limit in expert settings, also there is another setting for platform radius get that cranked up, also make sure you have the setting that allows you to build into the terrain on. cannot be done on official though.
