FUTURE OPTIONS FOR PTI It is clear after two years that no PDM hybrid Govt. or a Martial law can bring economic recovery. $30 billion dollar loans have to be returned every year for next five years. All foreign and local rulers are stuck and cannot bring any financial improvement on their own. PTI will be offered to form a new Govt. either alone after new election or join PPP now as a coalition Govt. PTI must not accept both these offers unless the Establishment gives written guarantee to become Apolitical and their leadership resigns. Unless this happens PTI Govt. will have constant friction and interference in the Hybrid System. Without "Rule of Law" no stability, investor confidence or growth can occur as Pakistan has gone back decades in closed factories and brain drain. If PTI becomes a part of this present lawless system then it can not bring any improvement due to high prices, unemployment and strict IMF conditions. PTI will loose its popularity and public support within a year and no change will occur to the main problem of elite capture Hybrid governance. It will be better for PTI to let the local rulers continue with the mess they have created. USA and friendly countries are clearly fed up with them. There is a good chance that with Trump as President, USA will bring a change in military leadership from outside, to avoid a failed nuclear state by using the IMF installments as carrot and stick. Even if they do not, the society in Pakistan will collapse by poverty and hunger and a Peoples Revolution like Sri Lanka will occur soon on bankruptcy.
