You don't need to know how to roll if you never flip over.

Model Rocket Stability (Rocket Swing Test) Tutorial
Просмотров 42 тыс.8 лет назад
Many people think that making a rocket stable is a complicated mathematical process, but this isn't true at all! This is a very simple, proven method that will make your rockets soar time and time again. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Instagram: astro.niall Twitter: astronaut_niall ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Music by Kevin Macleod: incompetech.com/
JetStream III High Altitude Weather Balloon
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.8 лет назад
Summary of the JetStream III mission, our first fully successful weather balloon after three years of trying. The balloon went to about 100,000 ft in altitude, and landed some 40 miles from the launch site after 3 hours in the air. This is the complete, unedited video recorded by the down-facing camera in the JetStream III capsule. This camera cut out only an hour into the flight due to the battery life of the camera, but we still got some great shots! Instagram: astro.niall Twitter: astronaut_niall

This is the complete, unedited video recorded by a GoPro Hero in the JetStream III capsule. This camera recorded up until apogee, and it may have passed the balloon popping going off of how unstable it became at the end, but we do not know for sure. Instagram: astro.niall Twitter: astronaut_niall
Good video, strait forward and helpful.
Thanks bro your explain so simple and understand ❤
Thnx for give this information.
nice
There come a point when this technique isn't possible.
I'll fight that battle when the day comes :)
How to make your rocket straight 1.make sure it is not a gay
Ah thanks for the tips
A perfect tutorial ( and helpful )
The BernadoTech video gives proper procedure, this does not. Also read: apogeerockets.com/education/downloads/Newsletter53.pdf Build wise, the engine is too far rearward imho.
Thank you!
Watch this Indonesian guy tried to make and launch sugar rockets. ruclips.net/video/OPtkDtQDZnM/видео.html Lihat pemuda Indonesia ini mencoba membuat dan meluncurkan roket.
At least you successfully for the 2nd time.
Nice demo!
And I thought I was the only one that made pizza like that
I watched 4 sophisticated videos trying to figure this out and your simple video made me finally get it. Thanks.
Can someone do it with a stick?
Fuckin right.
Cool
I question your testing method and conclusions. Some points: I don't think you are finding the center of pressure this way, and you are adding centripetal force to your experiment that is greater than the force of gravity. I'm unconvinced that your rocket has a center of pressure ahead of the center of gravity rather than that you are not encountering enough wind speed. www.nar.org/nar-products/rocket-stability/
This was absolutely wrong because by adding clay you changed the centre of gravity of the rocket and because of that much weight the rocket will turn downwards and it would be a complete failure
You do realize that the center of gravity was *the entire reason it flipped in the first place?* Changing the center of gravity is what *fixes the issue.*

Wow scroob this video is smelly

Where's the landing vid?
Great Design!
Thanks for the video! Could you make one on how to build a model rocket??
+Josesuma Moctezuma yes, that is next on my list! In the next one or two weeks I should have one made
+Astro Niall great! Thanks! I have a question. I saw your video about the high altitude weather balloon and I was wondering whether you are in college and had to do it for schools or just as a recreational project?
+Josesuma Moctezuma I'm just in high school, me and my friends do this all for fun in our own time. I am going to make a video on how to make a weather balloon capsule as well!
Great job Niall on the video! Alexander and Viswa are behind on getting out theirs. To those viewing this video, our club not only launches weather balloons but also small rockets. In addition we have built a small payload that we would like to have launched into space on a suborbital trajectory, likely reaching around 115 km. This would be around 3.8 times higher than the Jetstream III weather balloon. To learn more about this payload, please look at our Experiment.com page: experiment.com/projects/how-useful-could-a-tiny-new-microcontroller-be-for-small-spacecraft After this payload flies to space we hope to build a small satellite.
You're so professional omg
+Perler Bead Planet thanks!
This is so so cool
+Perler Bead Planet thank you! We had a blast
Nice! congrats Niall.
+Andy Johnson thanks!
Where did you get the balloon from?
+Alp Çelik we got the balloon from a company called High Altitude Science since we live in the USA. Sent Into Space is a provider in Europe
+Astro Niall Thanks!
You know you did well when you start seeing the curvature of the planet... Great work
+MR.R Thanks bro!
This is awesome!
Dude this is awesomely cool.
