iss hard man, lot better then my 2nd beat from scratch, a good way to make counter melodies is using the half steps (2 notes next to eachother in the scale) amd playing with different ideas till you like it

its great mane, but dont let other people dictate your production process/style kanye relies heavily on samples so to make older ye type beats and have it sound authentic you need samples in conclusion do u. (sorry for the hella long paragraph)
