The original 1982 RCA/Columbia “text only” Betamax has the same opening and the closing has “These films were sold” and blue FBI screens from 1982, followed by the ultra rare low pitched WSOD at 400 Hz tone. The 1985 VHS also has the same closing along with the updated blue FBI screens, the 1000 Hz WSOD and of course, moaning sound.

Real Monsters, Garfield and Friends, Brothers Flub, KaBlam!, Wild & Crazy Kids!, Figure It Out, My Brother And Me, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Animorphs, Allen Strange, Alex Mack, Nick News, and other shows, etc.

It makes sense why this bootlegger used an older master to this release since the original 1985 tape wasn’t encrypted with Macrovision and it was probably a lot quicker to make pirated copies without having to obtain a Macrovision striping device. I also have a bootleg tape that uses this same opening from around the same time. Obviously, they’d shortly have to invest in devices that either didn’t detect copy protection or get one that “removes” it.

The inclusion of Linda Lee Cadwell's introduction from the Special Edition Laserdisc at the start of the main feature was probably the reason why the movie itself was presented as a non-anamorphic 4:3 letterboxed presentation on this DVD.
