Do you feel the need? Feel the need for Elastic?!? I know I do. My belly ebbs and flows like the tides, I can't be constantly fussing with a belt. I want to set it and forget it, while still being comfortable in my favorite non stretch jeans and trousers. In this video you'll see a variety of methods to achieve an elasticized waistband. #sewinghacks #sewing #sewingtutorial #diy #diyprojects #up...

I may be getting around to this a bit late, but as I say it's been a crazy year. I hope you enjoy:)!
They are soooo cute on you! You did great! Love the material.
I really like the fabric. You did such a good job. I think it was a compliment😊
Looks great on you ❤
The dress is perfect! your walk you took is just beautiful. The neck is the thing I like the most.
NICE!❤
Wow!❤❤❤❤And it’s gorgeous on you! Fabulous make.
This fabric omg loove it! look so good on you
Amazing on you. I cannot believe when I saw you make the Ogden Cami Dress I had already cut mine out too ready to sew mine too. Just beautiful love the fabric by the way and thank you for sharing xx
@@sarahjocker5059 thank you. Which modifications are you making? I'd love to see yours when you're complete. You can always tag me on Instagram @megflydiy Happy sewing!
Best sew along instructions ever! Clear and concise with no messing around. I don’t think I could wear this dress shape and be happy with how it looks on me but I sat through the whole video because I enjoyed your presentation!
@@joannemcmillan9201 wow, thank you so much! I didn't think I could pull off this shape either, so hey, ya never know:)
Excellent ways to alter the waist!!!
@@rinaeperron7746 thank you😁
I love the fabric you chose!
@@fishythom5910 thank you😁 I love this fabric
👍
You made a lovely Ogden modification
Nope
😆
Only just found your channel. Looking forward to more of your content if you are going to be able to make it regularly. Best wishes, health wise.
@@elaineforan4751 thanks so much, that's the plan!😁
Me realizing I’m probably gonna be that estate sale that someone in the future goes crazy for when they find my vintage fabric stash….
Oh my gosh me too! Don't worry you're not alone 😆
Your dress is lovely on you and your fabric selections are always excellent. Would you please share where you purchased this particular fabric (if you can remember, of course)? WRT the pattern itself, I'm surprised that the designer did not suggest using any type of stay tape on the neckline, as over time there could be quite a bit of stretching out due to the bias cut. Just my two cents. 🙂
@@skyhowie54 thank you. I've made many from this pattern and never had any issues with the neckline stretching. I listed as much as RUclips is currently letting me list in regards to the fabric. I currently can't list links. Check the description for fabric details.
@@megaflydiy Thank you!
Lo😂it!
You got some lovely fabrics. I love all your plans and the natural fibers are so beautiful.
Watched all your videos today. Would love to watch you in an "edited sew along" with one of your new fabrics. You could teach us some of your tricks and even frustrations in sewing.... Really enjoy watching you.....
@@barbaralee3918 thank you, and thank you for the suggestion. I've thought about doing a sew-along but I realized I'm an insanely chaotic sewer and often go rogue 😆. But I will definitely take this into consideration and try to get an episode up.
Everything you make and alter looks so professional! I definitely skip some of the careful steps you take when I try to just "quick fix" something... it definitely pays off. Maybe someday I, too, will carefully address some of my alteration pile...
@@karisap haha thank you, and hey whatever works for you
Oh my goodness the algorithm delivered you to my suggestions this morning and I have subscribed and really enjoyed this video! I love the changes that you made and the pants at the end? The linen ones… With the chambray and the bias tape! Oh my goodness it isso so good!
@@therewillbecatswithgwenhwyfar thank you so much for subscribing:) and thanks, yeah I'm pretty in love with them
Your bias tape addition to the striped pants absolutely made them sing! Also the fabric itself with that little bit of metallic thread is just edgy enough without being over the top. WRT to alterations, I definitely have to psych myself up because, although I enjoy the construction, I thoroughly dislike the deconstruction. (I will admit that I was a bit shocked by the number of items in your alteration bins. 😲) I'm glad you were able to salvage so many items. Thanks again for sharing your thought process, Megan.
@@skyhowie54 thank you, I completely agree WRT the addition of the bias tape. In regards to my bins...yes I hold on to everything I think has potential... I'm aware I have a problem 😆🤷... I'm working on it...
Love your fabric options!
Love every one of your fabrics. I’m a green nut!
Love your fabric choices! Looking forward to seeing your makes. ❤
All your fabric selections are lovely, but I really would love to see the Helen's Closet Moss Jacket in that checked fabric (I have the pattern but have yet to make it, so being purely selfish). However, I also think that same fabric would look wonderful on the bias and you have the height to use it to its full advantage--it would be dramatic, for sure. Hope you are well!
@@skyhowie54 😆 I hear you...we shall see!
You've got some pretty ambitious sewing plans! Can't wait to see your makes; I'm sure they'll be great.
Your long sleeved striped shirt has some very clever details that, in my opinion, negate the pattern matching issue that you focused on. It really suits you.
@@skyhowie54 thank you🙂
Everything you made looked great on you, particularly the robe, but what really blew me away was the incredible bounty of knit tops! Thanks for some terrific ideas.
Beautiful work 😊
You made some lovely tops in 2021!
