Hi! Every applicant who get admission (no matter with scholarship or not) need to pay 10000 HKD as a deposit of keeping the place (it is not refundable if you decide not to attend CUHK at the end). The money will be used to pay for ur visa, some sundries and offset part of ur school fee (if you need to pay). If you have scholarship, the remaining money will be returned to you during your first semester study in CUHK. I believe many universities required applicants to pay that composition fee as many people are applying to many universities, even they give admission to a student, he/she may attend other universities at the end. Hi! Yes, there is an application fee of HK$450 ~ USD 58. There is admission scholarship on the basis of academic performance, you can check the detail in the website admission.cuhk.edu.hk/scholarships/admission.html For international students, we can only work inside the campus for <18hr/week, but we are free to work anywhere during summer.

TBH, I am not sure about the admission assessment, but for sure, volunteer experience will be a plus. Actually, it doesn't have to be volunteered, it can be any extra-curriculum activities that you are passionate about. You still have time, you can try to join some online activities or volunteer. It is a MUST to provide a language proficiency proof. It is okay if you can’t take IELTS, you can take tofel or any other test listed in the website. admission.cuhk.edu.hk/international/requirements.html You may request to extend the deadline for submitting the test result if you are having difficulty to take it on time.

For scholarship, it varies individually, some students get only half of the tuition covered, some get full tuition, and some have full tuition + living expense.

@@htookyawlin3386 1. You dont need SAT, just any equivalent high school diploma can work, I applied with the Myanmar matriculation exam result. 2. It's absolutely fine to apply a major that you dont have experience before, we go college to learn :) 3. Any extracurricular activity is a plus, it doent have to relate to the major you wanna apply. Of course, it will be better if you have some experience that can express your passion in the major you apply. Just inbox me if u have any other question.

As you get used to this medium your content will change and get refined beyond what it is, but there's really no shame in it being as it is now.
