    You’re trip is exactly what I had in mind to do. I have 40years alpine and climbing experience and many via Ferrara. The section of the Bjorlings glacier to the via ferrata always seems quite benign in videos and sometimes a dry glacier, like mer de glacé in Chamonix . I did think of checking with the staff at Kebnekaise, but could only imagine they would discourage a solo climb. Did you check with them at all, or experience any problems from others for going solo?

    • @hikingswede
      @hikingswede Месяц назад

      They will discourage if you ask. If you know the guides and they believe you can handle yourself they can talk about it openly, but ofc they need to treat you like there is a risk that you will do something stupid. :) There has been people who have gotten tips and then threatened to sue them just for being nice xD

    Riktigt nice :-) skulle vilja göra detta själv. Hur var det med glaciärer och så med tanke på att du gjorde det själv?

    • @hikingswede
      @hikingswede 3 месяца назад

      @@johanolofsson1258 ja, de finns där och är objektivt sätt faror som kan vara oberäkneliga. Man måste själv studera och sätta sig in i riskerna det innebär, för det är för många troligtvis det farligaste man någonsin utsatt sig för. Jag skulle också säga att riskerna idag är större än då, med tanke på hur mycket mindre snö som finns idag. Glaciären krymper ganska fort och det har varit några år med klena snöbryggor och mycket sprickor.

    Epic summit Anton! a friend and i will be attempting this same run tete russe hut stop then summit next morning /afternoon 😅 there is no more spots open on gouter hut for aug. So we will need to strategize the stops. What happens if it gets dark on the way down and you have no reservation (im assuming you keep hiking down with headlamp) I think the way you did it is the exact way we will have to do it (unguided)

      Really no need, I've used this foretress in 30m/s+ winds during winter storms. The seams will start taking damage before the poles if it is placed correctly and a snow barrier is built.

      The Jannu comes in red label only while the Soulo comes in both red and black label. That's quite a difference, especially the more rigid BL 10,5mm poles. I do like the Jannu though, very roomy and 'bombproof'. But I chose the (red label) Soulo for my 3 season solo hikes (no real winter experience yet). 12 guy lines, a couple backstaked if needed. The tent will flap somewhat enthusiastically in brutal winds but doesn't budge or move. Just lovely.

Disse teltene kan brukes med dobbelt stangsett (de nyeste modellene ihvertfall). Tenker du at dobbelt stangsett er en god løsning, eller blir det vanskelig å slå opp i vinden? Og hvordan er ventilasjonen om vinteren? Kommer det inn for mye vind/snø langs bakken på dette?
