Harbor Freight / Leegol Duel 3 lb. rock tumbler cheap upgrade...(using mini ball transfer bearing)
Просмотров 534Год назад
Most complaints I see, are from the friction and wear and tear that's put on the motor because of the drums rubbing against the black tabs, and eventually, the metal sides. Instead of building a whole new contraption to install a roller wheel ....try this !! #rocktumbling #harborfreight #leegolelectric #Chicagorocktumbler

    use a $5 209 de-primer / decapper that is made to pull 209 primers safely

    Thanks. This is totally legit. After watching , I pulled a primer from a 12 GA. 8 shot. Fired it in my 50 cal muzzleloader.

    safe with live primers?

    • @MeatyHead1968
      @MeatyHead1968 Год назад

      As long as you tap from the bottom of the primer and don't use excessive force then should be fine. ( I am not an expert...attempt at your own risk)

    There is a lot more grass beds than I thought there was out towards the middle of the bridge a lot more dosen’t look more than 3’-5’ deep, Copano int deeper than 8’ I believe at its deepest, might try gigging flounder on a low tide out there sometimes would love to see down the shore line out in water going out to redfish point

    Did you happen to shoot them thru your muzzleloader? Was their any issues since they had been pressed into a shotgun shell already?

    • @MeatyHead1968
      @MeatyHead1968 Год назад

      No issues whatsoever....but this is my first muzzleloader experience so I'm not sure how they should or shouldn't fit. They seem to fit ok but they will fall out prior to shooting and sometimes need a pocket knife to pop them out after....but other than that they work fine ...

      @@MeatyHead1968 I dry fired one thru my muzzleloader just to test if they would fire. Only thing that worried me is they seemed a little long and stuck out of the breech slightly. Finding muzzleloader 209 primers is like finding hens teeth right now so I done the same thing with some cheap shells so I can deer hunt.

      I was born in '68 ...and as far back so can remember that was one of the main spots we would hit..my dad.. grandpa and uncles....there and at the base of Tule Lake Bridge...both off limits.....not to mention the Harbor Bay bridge will be knocked down once the new one is built ...but I think they stopped people from fishing at the base of those years ago.....

      @@MeatyHead1968 I remember staying at places like sea Gun , Beacon cottages and Sea foam motel . Think sea foam is called Bay front now . It's been a couple decades since I was there last probably wouldn't recognize anything now.

      In the '80s my dad & I made many visits to this causeway, mostly fishing under the lights at night. We usually fished on the north side, but I caught my biggest speck on the south side one night, about 5 lbs. I don't live near the area anymore so it was a little bit of a shock to discover just recently that it's been demolished. It's a shame they couldn't have found a way to extend its life, but it was a big structure so I'm sure the cost to rebuild it like it was would be unreasonable. I hope another pier(s) can be put on the site someday though.
